Haha, Red's cheerfully malicious way of showing Steven he's a dumbass is sooo funny. Love the detail of Jake holding one of the beers he never lets Eric or Hyde drink. The whole exchange in the kitchen is great.

This chapter is one that still stands out in my mind when I think of this story (rereading for the 2nd time now :)). Each moment between Hyde and Jackie, or when they're just thinking about each other, is filled with tension that feels very true to where they would be at this point. The whole Raquel situation and the moment at the end of the chapter when Jackie cries are well told. If I ever wrote a fic (which is not likely since I can't ever finish one - kudos to you!) I'd totally want to incorporate scenes like those because they say a lot. The scenarios you've thought up for these characters (in the sequel too) are original without going over the top into drama/fantasy land. Yay!

Loved it. Such an excellent continuation from the end of Season 8. You never hit a false note and the emotional upheaval was so true to the characters. I loved the scene at the mall because it was just so them, with Jackie running away but not wanting to get him in trouble with security, then smiling at him only moments later. So cute! Also, I must give you props for your in character portrayal of Pam. Many fic writers make her a super bitch, but you really captured so well the vapid selfishness - yet cluelessness - of her character. Pam does love Jackie, she just doesn't have the capacity to think of anyone aside from herself - so your Pam was seriously the best one I've seen in a fic. :) Bravo! Hope you'll be writing more stories soon, hehe

This is my new favorite JH story! I loved it and now I have to go read the sequel because sequels are awesome and YOU are awesome!
