I totally agree with you! Although it may not ever happen, I think it eventually will because relationSHIPs progress and it's futile to think they'll always be platonic or even creepier, like siblings. This is fanfiction, I'm not sure everyone gets that.

You put heart into your story and that's why it works.

And I totally agree about shipping. You don't need to write things which are already in the story; it's about inventing scenarios which are absent, even impossible. Let's face it, the Sherlock BBC primary ship is never going to be seen on screen!

Man. Poignant and lovely :) I sail the same ship too so I'm with you on that. I view them saying "never" as them saying "not in the foreseeable future". Look at Mulder and Scully. Drove everyone nuts but when that's how ended they were together ;) Great job! Thanks for posting! x

As to your point about ships. I wouldn't read FF if there weren't ships. I read NCIS FF with my main ship being Ziva and Gibbs. I fully realize even if the writer allowed for a Gibbs romance it would not be with any female show characters especially if they are his subordinates. Let's face it 10 seasons prove my point. Never-the-less, I would like a Zibbs ship and I get it in FF.

I hope that eventually Sherlock and Watson would be in a relationship. Realize that romance between main characters can be a death knell, but if handled right -ooh, la,la.

Once you put a character or group of characters in YOUR sandbox to play with, only your imagination limits how you play with them.
