Need to read the conclusion, please finish!

Hello author, Just wanted you to know I alway come back and read this gem of a crossover. It’s actually my favorite Naruto/HP crossover. Since Naruto has actually finished I always wonder if your going to finish the last chapter or more as you promised in your authors note. I hope you do cause I know there’s quite a few of us that would love to read the conclusion. If not it’s still a really good read up to where you left off and I’ll still be coming back to read it again and again. Take care of yourself and thanks for one of my favorite fics.

I can get where Naru is coming from, he's always liked Sakura but maybe that's misplaced affection. He's been a social outcast for a long time, he sees a girl who he thinks is pretty and immediately chooses to place his affection in her since that's the socially acceptable answer. Sure, the village is ok with same-sex romance, but, Naruto is an orphan who just wants to be normal and make his own family like everyone else. To have a mummy and daddy relationship because he was never exposed to it. That's also my theory on him classing Hotaru in the brother slot as that's more acceptable and easier to process to him. He'd probably be open to Hotaru much later on after he's sorted himself out and realises that's not all a romantic dynamic 's emotionally stunted in a way and tragically broken because he never had those parental bonds.

Hotaru won't go for anyone else since he's see it as some weird betrayal to Naruto, putting someone else before his long time friend. He's emotionally attached to Naruto and dependant on him like he was as a kid and that's how his feelings turned into what it 's actually slightly unhealthy,especially since he'd kill for Naruto and is only loyal to him and maybe his team now. He accepts Naruto's behaviour and rejection easily yet bitterly since he doesn't want to rock the boat and untether himself from that one stable relationship. I don't know if you meant to make it so psychological but it is in the long run. Maybe I've read into it too much but I honestly believe that that's what's going on here.
