Wow. The last couple of chapters have been a roller coaster. Looking forward to seeing the revelation about the relationship between Lena and devil plays out! And I didn't think the relationship between Hal and Lena could get any more intense, but it did!

Looking forward to the next part...soon I hope?!

Oh boy - to take on the Devil AND give us a glimpse of that perspective? Powerful and heavy. The root of what I find so alluring about this story as whole are the mythologies you've woven so intricately. Breathing life into angels, demons and entire beliefs seemingly effortlessly while merging it all perfectly within the pre-existing BH universe. For that reason alone I might be pressed to call this chapter a favourite purely because so much of that merger comes to light.
The twist with Caedis Cruciatius made me gasp - never saw that one coming.
And I must say, reference to Rochester made me sputter with laughter and a wide smile.

Aw! Alex & Tom just make me feel all sorts of sappy. You write them so well and they are so damn sweet - even when working through difficult issues. Interesting take on "superpowers" and certainly enjoyed Tom's wolf analogy to it. Along with the lima beans this chap pretty much had me grinning all the way through.
Though... I sense a very nice transition / set up for some troubling times ahead. I have a vague feeling of wanting to plug my ears and sing "la la la!" I don't know what is coming - I don't! I don't!

A day later and my initial reaction still stands: SEXY sexy sexy! AND SHEEP! Totally laughed about the sheep.
Really enjoyed Hal's introspection at the beginning of the chapter... and the humour between them at the end. The middle? No words other than luscious. I noted you finally reached this particular long-awaited scene at Chapter #42. Anything to do with the answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything? Hehe

Very lovely imagery. I mean the first part in the church, obvs! It visualizes so graceful and carefree. As for the second part, I believe I gave you feedback on that a long time ago. Finally everyone gets this special treat! Now I'll just go take a cold shower... though I know it will be for naught when they take their hot one... ;)

awww, the title! The implications are tremendous. My head is spinning with the ramifications of the "side effects". And then his sharing... I gasped out loud when I read that section because it mirrored some of my own thoughts on Hal and the impetus for some of his actions.

The second half's lightheartedness was no less touching. I love that one minute Lena is this all powerful, fear inducing being - every time we learn another tidbit about Lena's past I am awestruck - and the next she squee's like a fangirl. D

And I'm super excited to get to the next chapter cuz I think I know what's coming... le sigh...

This chapter is so breathtaking. We finally see the penny drop on the escalation of their *ahem* recent activities. He traded one addiction for another, and it's understandable that it couldn't continue indefinitely. Love the confrontation, the acknowledgement from both sides, their renewed commitment to each other and to their end game - saving him.

The ending. THAT SONG. Heartbreaking. Inspiring. Perfection. I read it with my heart in my throat, barely breathing. I am rooting for them, hoping this isn't an impossible dream. I like happy endings.

Chapters like this are intimidating to try and write a review for. There is too much in it to be casual, and the sections crossing time and emotion each feel like their own chapter. Alas I fear I've been spoiled by leaving my reviews sprinkled throughout an entire doc! Have had to read this several times to feel like I could write a proper review.
As a whole, this was a return to what I feel is your strength in writing; your insight into the nuance of daily life, depth of character and what drives, dictates and designs every action. You bring your reader not only into the story, but settle them in comfy behind your characters eyes. Not that you aren't also strong at bringing us right into the bedding too! But this return to and acknowledgement of emotion (or subtle shifting lack-thereof) was wonderful. My heart broke with Hal's hurt, and Lena's guilt right alongside them. (After giving a whoop that she actually made good on her threat - jackass deserved it.)
And it broke again with your beautiful insight over fastidiousness and the ingrained behaviors of the reflection-challenged.
This chapter felt like a transition of sorts. Passages to a passage. Hal & Lena have surpassed something monumental. Something that will change them both.

Finally had time to catch up with the last couple of chapters :-) Really like the idea of the werewolf court, some very interesting ideas to explore there which you're doing really nicely. Also interesting to see a bit more of Hal's long and chequered history

Finally managed to catch up with the last few chapters of this :-) The relationship between Hal and Lena is fascinating and utterly bonkers at the same time. I love it! It's a really original way of exploring the two characters and the parallels and differences between them and how they are influencing others. Very much looking forward to reading more!

Jesus woman - what a spot for a chapter cut! Like to leave em hangin, eh? Caught me by surprise cuz I thought *this* was a couple chapters out. Awesome though.
Fabulous mix of a chapter - and the last one as well. I really adore how you've been handling / working with Tom & Alex and her ghostly tangibility. Super fun and you've made me adore them together, which is only growing the more their relationship develop.
The details in this just soar - the thought behind the werewolf court, even to how various side characters would behave and Rook's little mannerisms in such a group, the perfection of Tom and his moral compass... and then to Hal's own inner dialogue as to his own background and sexuality. Really grabbing but also nicely, openly done.
Now, would you please get on with it? Terribly cruel to leave this one sitting here like this...

I loved this chapter! This is one of my favourite stories to follow here, and its always exciting to get another instalment. (also, no complaints about the M rated stuff :-P ) I like Lena as an OC, and am actually rooting for the pair of them as a couple. Its an interesting way to explore the darker aspects of Hal as well as the more positive ones.

You're really making sure you earn that mature rating lately aren't you? Not that complaining...

A new chapter is always a highlight of my week and you never disappoint. So for the sake of my sanity, please keep up this pace (and just never actually end the story...please?).

Also, the ironic pyjamas bit was pure gold.

In some ways they are as bad as each other but Hal's victims didn't deserve it and Lena's did. She is one scary lady tho! This story started when it was Bad Hal's turn but I feel like Lena has created a third Hal, a more balanced Hal, I know he still struggles constantly but he's also more at ease. I like third Hal very much. Lisa x
