This was a very good story! I really enjoyed the drama, even if there were some feels mixed in. The only thing that upset the storyline was Germany's desire to kill Prussia. The two might not always be friendly with each other, but that's very typical of brothers. Nevertheless, Germany would never condone the killing of his brother, even if ordered. Perhaps if Prussia had done something horrible, but even then, I kind of doubt it.
Anyways, the rest of the story was great. Thanks for the interesting read.

First off, I commend you for writing a historical fic on something like this! A lot of them fail to portray Germany as what he really is at this time. I wrote one, although I have the gas used in Auschwitz pegged as Zyklon B rather than cyanide. Prussia’s allegiances are of course debatable, but I think it makes sense that he and Ludwig would have a strained relationship. I heard that the Prussian people stuck to their nationality for a while into WWII, and there were things such as the Nemmersdorf massacre to bother Prussia. I also think I head somewhere Hitler was banner from speaking in former Prussia in the 1930’s?
I’d expect Poland would have more experience with the gas, though.

Austria and Hungary likely wouldn’t be in the meeting, since they are allied with Germany at this time. As for the Nordics, I think Finland is also loosely allied with the Nazis at this time against the Russians for the winter war. But perhaps you chose to have the enemies there for a reason, although I doubt Germany would want to poison his allies given how much he needs them.

I love how you had America suddenly turned serious and had the ingenuity to think of the wet cloth. I hate how in war stories he’s only portrayed as an egotistical goofball who only cares for heroism.

I see how you had France get affected the worst, since he did fall into German hands in 1940, pretty early on in the war just after Poland.
