I really loved the seemingly simple mention of Judas, because that was really all that had to be said. Really effective use of second person, and Mycroft's brain. My heart broke when I saw him put down the newspaper at the end of TRF.
The only (only) and ridiculously nitpicky criticism is the use of "different than" as opposed to "different from." I think I just went through too much standardized testing and it's really not a big deal at all.

Great use of the 2nd person in this one, it makes it more personal at the same time as being remote, weirdly. You can feel for Mycroft in this situation, while keeping some distance.

There was no need to elaborate on the Judas reference - oh yes, Mycroft, we know what you did.

You've done an excellent job with the perspective of Mycroft you've taken here, beautiful :) And of course, the entirety of The Reichenbach Fall is a retelling of the Passion of the Christ, from Sherlock's "miracles" to John being "the disciple Jesus loved" and Molly in her Magdalene role. The analogy of Judas Iscariot just feels right, and I love the emotional zig-zagging here.

The explanation at the beginning is great, but what I really love is that you've got so many great lines in such a short piece of writing.

'scruples and sentiments were sacrificed on the altar of duty long ago' Beautiful, it really flows through the mind and off the tongue nicely and it's oh-so-very Mycroft.

'you have sent to their deaths directly and indirectly' Nice little nod to the power he holds, and nice that it's a personal monologue and you've broken through the vagueness and mystery around his position through his emotion.

'protectprotectprotect' This is great. It's like a line of software gone rogue, the blank face slipping, chaos unleashed.

Beautiful last line. It doesn't fit with what I believe about Mycroft and the fall and I still really loved it, which is saying something. Well done!

This is brilliant. Poignant and sad and so very Mycroft (the fact that he recognizes his similarity to Judas Iscariot but can't quite make the connection explicit is so perfect).
