This is beautiful. The quiet intensity of Castle's passion for Kate, his disbelief and concern that she could doubt the depth of his feelings for her, socks me in the gut - in a good way. His declaration of love. The simple truth that there is nowhere else he can even imagine being but by her side (which, by the way, he will say in S7: "You can not leave what is always by your side" - so bravo for saying a version of it first!). And: "I'd get you a ring if I thought you'd wear it." Beautiful! I'm glad she answered with an affirmation before falling into sleep.

So many beautiful post-eps have emerged and this is one of them! I feel like you hit their feelings right on the head...especially with these lines:

"He doesn't think he can keep her unless he's very, very careful. He can't keep her. He's not careful enough to keep her."

AND

"I'd get you a ring if I thought you'd wear it."

This was absolutely perfect and makes it for what the episode gave us.

Kate got her answer about where they are going and she's happy about that.

The ending was wonderful especially the part about a ring and Kate being willing to wear one. That certainly shows commitment.

It amazes me that these two people are incapable of talking. It doesn't have to be a big deal formal discussion. It can be simple and elegant like you did it as they snuggle in bed.
