This is almost my ideal 'Monday' story. Everything just happened so naturally and nothing seemed forced. My favorite part was "but today her hair looked like it would be unpleasant to touch and her heavily mascara-ed eyes looked as tired and knowing as his did" , that was breath catching. I won't say I'll read and review your other stories as I've never properly read LotR, but I'll check back from time to time to see if anything sparks my interest. Wonderful work, this gets a favorite.
