I have a concern. So much of what makes Hermione herself is bound up in her childhood as the daughter of twp Muggle dentists, so much of her personality is shaped by that (as well as her Hogwarts experience) - how do you plan to have this new Hermione remain the same person with what seems likely to be a vastly different childhood?

As far as pairings go, I vote for 'whatever makes the most sense for your story.' I object on principle tothe idea of having pairings determined by popular vote.

Maybe HermionexNico or Annabeth? With a side of Percy and Clarisse, maybe? (well, if hermione grows up fast.)
