Well this was absolutely beautiful AND heartbreaking, all at the same time! I love that you've delved a bit further into what we were never told about Chibs and his past, because now that I've read this, I can't help but picture it as the exact reason behind what happened between him and Jimmy O. I admittedly haven't done all *that* much research into it, but I've definitely accepted your version as 100% canon! And the way you've set it up, as a story told by Chibs to the rest of the club just makes it all that much more heartbreaking than it already was!

Needless to say I've fallen in love with another one of your stories! You have the most wonderful way of getting Chibs' character to be so spot on I can literally envision this happening in the show itself, and I am definitely looking forward to reading more of your stories soon! (I saw you had a Kozik/OC, and if it weren't for the fact that I need sleep DESPERATELY right now I'd simply stay up later and read that right now too ;) ).

Oh, that was heartbreaking...I really could see it as being Chibs' backstory. I almost hope this final season doesn't reveal anything about his backstory that contradicts your story because it's going to stick in my head as if it were true...

I just found this story! I don't have sufficient words to tell you what this did to me! It was beautiful! Sad at the end, but it fits Chibs' demeanor I think - sort of explains that little bit of loneliness that he exudes sometimes! thank you!

Damn, damn, damn. Poor Chibby. And to think this stuff really happens/happened in that country. You've done a wonderful and powerful story that makes me feel that I was right in the thick of things.

Sad but brilliant well done

so sad, but beautifully written. Poor Chibs, poor Aoife. I loved this so much. You are such a talented writer. It kinda makes me want to quit.

To end it any other way would have been a disservice to such a powerful story, but goddamn that hurt :'(

I knew it wasn't going to be a happy ever after story but I still felt every twist of that knife.

So, so worth the wait. You tell a good tale, love
