Sendai chapter 11 . 8/27/2014 I just read your story, Shadow. It was wonderful. My only complaint is that it was too short. ( just kidding). I loved the transformations of your characters especially Sherlock and John. Great pacing and lovely characterization. |
christineisthename chapter 11 . 8/14/2014 Awww this was so beautiful and gorgeous I love the concept about those beautiful creatures growing dark and shadow-like once infected. Very beautiful story. It's unlike any AU I've ever read. Loved it :) |
maliciouspixie5 chapter 11 . 4/18/2014 I loved this story so much. It will go on my list of "comfort story's" that I will reread over n over again. |
hjohn302 chapter 11 . 4/16/2014 Ahhhhhh! What a wonderful ending! I had a break from reading for a while, so I didn't get to this right away. I love how you ended this and just the slow reconciliation that was starting to happen... and the healing of both races. Thank you for a brilliant story! |
JigglyJelloWithCoconut chapter 10 . 4/14/2014 Wonder if that little glowing ability had anythjng to do with Stardust. ... |
Ennui Enigma chapter 11 . 3/31/2014 Satisfying ending to a story that's been long in the writing. Well done! *applause* After all the hurt and anxiety in the beginning, it is gratifying to the reader to see the two together and happy. "I can feel him, Sherlock, pressing against my mind - how apt a phrase. Imaginative way to put things and yet quite effective. A stray thought to tide her over, through the tension." - love the way this flows and also makes me wish for a few stray thoughts :) flutter of fear - nice! Sherlock exerted a great deal of energy, which he really couldn't spare at this time. But do not worry, Miss Hooper. They will both be looked after." He looked thoughtful. "Although it has been a long time since there has been a human bonded to one of the People. Leave it to Sherlock to make things complicated." - in light of events at the end of 3.3 this comment takes on new meaning. anticipation thrumming through his veins. - indeed! side effect of Sherlock's lustre seemed to be that it washed over him, energizing him, connecting him with his love. - beautiful analogy and word picture! |
Lucy36 chapter 11 . 3/23/2014 Oh, I love Molly being all "I trust you only as far as I can throw you" with Mycroft. "She let him go and watched with wonder. When the two men touched, colour returned to both their faces and they looked healthier." See, I would be watching with terror, personally, at this obviously crazy weird phenomenon... Oh, yay, deal with your Irene demons, Molly ! :-D Nice tying in of an issue, there. "Although it has been a long time since there has been a human bonded to one of the People. Leave it to Sherlock to make things complicated." Yes, but what you don't know Mycroft, is that MLC promised me a happy ending. Ha ha ! "He quietly reached over and removed the gun from her grasp. She hadn't even realised she was still holding it." Probably a good thing for all Shadows involved... Awww... Coffee with Lestrade. And free to go with him ? That's very trusting, all of a sudden... "Molly did not know what to make of all the kindness being shown to her." If I was of a more suspicious nature, I'd say "He's messing with your mind to better control you later." I'm really not liking this aspect of the plot still. "The humans are being given more liberties". Mmmh, this is the humans' home planet, People. Shouldn't they have ALL of their liberties restored at once ? Controlling, controlling... Also, shouldn't human government be reinstated ? Is it still the People running things ? No wonder there's distrust all around. That's what happens when you invade someone's home. *pointed look at Mycroft and his croonies, who no doubt still run the show* Still, happy ending bit, so yay ! That was an amazing roller-coaster of a story, brilliantly thought-out and I can't speak for the others, but I did not mind waiting at all. :-D |
librarianmum chapter 11 . 3/17/2014 Well, it's been a real journey. I reread from the beginning just to remind myself how much I hated Sherlock at the start. That's the gift you have - your characters are so rich and complex. Bit by bit, as you changed John's views on the Shadows, so you changed mine. There's no rush in your writing, no sudden and inexplicable change in characterisation, but at the same time, you move the plot along perfectly. I absolutely loved this. Xx |
SailOnSilvergirl chapter 11 . 3/16/2014 I really liked the search for Sherlock. Molly's misgivings and protectiveness was great, as was the way she dealt with Irene. Having her put into Lestrade's care - aww. John's depleted condition at first, the vague impressions of his bonded, the subtle way he gathered strength from his certainty that they were getting closer to Sherlock - great! Mycroft's voice, too, hit all the right notes. Beautiful goodbye scene with Molly. Lovely seeing John and Sherlock, healthy, together again. "You can be loud" had me laughing out loud. And what a perfect task they have ahead of them - healing the rift. You really caught me by surprise with the length-of-life thing. It had me teary. Perfect way to end a really captivating story. |
Samzi chapter 11 . 3/12/2014 Love this story! |
MrsNoggin chapter 11 . 3/11/2014 Ooh, the low rumble in the back of his head... I'm melting. And by the end. Totally melted. Puddle on the floor. I am so glad I read this, so glad you found the rest and shared it. Thank you! |
MrsNoggin chapter 9 . 3/11/2014 Oh Molly, don't be a dipstick. You have to help John. I adore this. I really do. There is so much story and back story and twisty story and extra story and it just keeps coming, woven in seamlessly with the clues there from the beginning and I didn't even know they were clues. The way it should be done. The way the rest of us aspire to. |
