Guest chapter 16 . 2/21/2016 damn i love ted. the other spartans are being assholes and have been for a while. they treat ted like the marines treat them. but ted is awesome! Demeter is a beautiful plot point. and im so glad ted got a friend. would you believe i thought that would make an amazing pair back when we first saw demeters rampancy? fred gets thawed. "hello sir!" "ted? dear fuck why are you still alive?!" "haha! surprise!" teds romance with death is beautiful. i ship this. although i suppose its a threesome with notDemeter now, lol. it fits. how would ted and chief get along? both being hyperlethal as fuck and all. not well im guessing, but cortana will be rampant by then, so maybe ted and notDemeter can help somehow? like lucy's therapy group only weirder, or maybe they find a long term coping strategy for rampancy. -Sarge |
Sergeant Sargent II chapter 13 . 2/11/2016 this is an oddly balanced story. as the author, i cant tell if youve chosen a side. well done. |
Sergeant Sargent II chapter 12 . 2/11/2016 how many of your fans begged you to add more Ted carnage while you were writing this? did most ppl love or hate him? serin is cool. shes got badass leadership pretty well down. im still not sure how she feels about the V's. shes hunting them, but is it just because its her job? does she hate the program, or agree with it? im surprised she respects mendez, but not halsey. |
Sergeant Sargent II chapter 11 . 2/11/2016 "Ted, do your thing. " god dammit i love ted. do not turn him evil, please! you seem to write the others as scared of him, without actually demonizing him. well done, i think. its a well crafted relationship. neat that youve written an ocd main character. i can relate, though i only really have tendencies, not full blown ocd. so far youve done a good job with the moral issues. its... well its true to cannon. its what spartans are. it bugs me a bit that the marines are required to contribute children. i love that they named the planet Sparta. |
Sergeant Sargent II chapter 8 . 2/11/2016 ted is awesome. please let him be [stay] a good guy. i love the crazy characters. |
Sergeant Sargent II chapter 7 . 2/11/2016 the "spartan society" you've set up is neat. |
Sergeant Sargent II chapter 4 . 2/11/2016 Oh fuck yes. this story just got awesome. well crafted so far, now things are really getting interesting. |
S-467 chapter 15 . 1/18/2014 My God. You my dear friend are incredible. Great work I love the spartan community apart from the UNSC thing. And the whole recruiting marines thing. I loved the whole damn thing. |
467 chapter 1 . 1/17/2014 Very good work so far but i have noticed a slight flaw it is not a big deal but there are some flamers out there that are insistent on perfection, that said. Fred -104 refered to as 048 A/n (Kelly is 087. And linda is 058 if it helps. ) |
Joseph chapter 15 . 12/9/2013 Just noticed the word "Complete" in the information bar, personally it doesn't feel over. It feels like you just decided to stop; I mean I've been rechecking this story every week or so for another chapter, until I noticed that word. I hope you revisit this story down the road and decide to add another chapter or two. Until then, thanks for the story, you did a great job. |
Satan Santa chapter 15 . 9/2/2013 Hey just noticed something while rereading this chapter. Fred and the other Spartans discuss putting themselves in Cryo until they are needed again to fight. This could be a great idea for a sequel or even spin off, where massive catacombs are carved into Sparta and Spartans who reach a certain age are "retired" into cryo so they can fight another day. Then once the big battle is over, they donate their genetic material to the gene pool (if needed) then go back into cryo. That would be something, long caverns filled with armored giants with a number carved into the base of each unit. Actually looking back at what you wrote, I think this is what idea you had anyways. It does seem like you aren't building ships or advancing their technology, minus their armor, but considering this story is more about the social circumstances and challenges such a society could face I'm not surprised. Something I'm surprised is the lack of spying done by the Spartans on ONI. As an organization that is actively hunting them, it would make sense for them to find someway of inserting an AI or even marine agents into that system. Both would be incredibly difficult tasks, but the potential payoffs would be worth it. On the idea of secondary augmentations for the ONI Spartans I approve. But personally I hope they are like the III Spartan augmentation where they induce a battle rage. Maybe make it so it's like the Sparta Spartans are like elites (strong, elegant, honor) and the ONI Spartans are like brutes (equally strong, vicious, shock troopers). The shock trooper bit would especially be true as most of the ONI Spartans are former ODST's. I could easily see that devolving them into a Brute like mentality. Forerunner tech is also something I've noticed that's absent from this story. Generally the Reclaimers are known as the Spartans (book cannon of course.) I think it would be very likely for the Spartans to race ONI around trying to retrieve more Forerunner artifacts with the Covenant getting in the way. With Dr. Halsey ONI would have a much more difficult time unlocking the artifacts, while the Sparta Spartans would be able to access them from the get go. This entire train of thought it merely a way in my mind to get the Sparta Spartans on more even Naval combat with the various factions. And I love the hugrorak, and think sentinels would make a decent equivalent to the covenant grunts and jackals, and the UNSC marines. Keep up with the story mate. I've noticed this is listed as complete so I'm hoping you write a sequel that time jumps a few centuries or so. Should be able to have a nice build up of covie troops to slaughter by then, and the battle of scale should be a bit more balanced by then. |
Guest chapter 15 . 9/2/2013 hey keep up the awesome story man. |
bladefax chapter 15 . 8/29/2013 Awesome halo! Cant wait for more! |
Danny Power and his Broken Sky chapter 1 . 8/29/2013 This is genius, really ) It genuinely reads like much of the Halo novels, the Pace and Plot are first-rate, and the characters are well-written and creative. Great Dialog, too. I'm writing a Halo fic though, but it sucks compared to this! Well done! |
Koriat Cyredanthem chapter 15 . 8/28/2013 This was an interesting update! I'm glad the Marines and Spartans seem to be getting along a little better now... At least, on the surface... I enjoyed seeing more out of Ted - I like his character! |
