I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful your storytelling abilities are. It's very...straightforward and direct but there is also a certain inexpressible flourish to it that I really love/envy/think it's awesome. Keep up the good work and update soon! - Very important :D However, I think you should make the difference between flashbacks and present-day events more clearer (maybe with some sort of indicator?). I noticed that the flashback-then-present-day-events thing kinda continues after Chapter 1 but it may be kinda confusing if you progress the flashback scenes and present day events together. I know you have a line break (the grey line thingymabob) that separated the flashback and the present-day events. I'm not particularly sure if that's what you were trying to do but... yeah. It might work if you structure it so that all the flashback scenes are grouped together and the present-day events grouped together and there is an obvious distinction between the two. Or you could try incorporating the flashback scenes into the story-telling. It's just a thought. I mean, as above, I'm not quite sure if that's what you're planning to do. So yeah. I'm really sorry I rambled (see above) about the bad stuff more than the good stuff but just so you know, this is the half-asleep, half-caffeinated me talking so just take this review with a grain of salt.
