Really loved this one, it's very, very good! Double-date Dair/Serenate is the very one thing this show shouldn't have fucked up, and of course they did and with mastery. They should have won some kind of award for Best Screwing a Potentially Really Awesome Thing.

dude, you're right. this story does meander, but in the best possible way. i love the way it flows. i can totally see it playing out like this. dan and serena try, but it doesn't quite click because they aren't who they used to be. like nate said, they'd found their soulmates and they couldn't stop loving them. also, the serenate in this was amazing. you should write an NS story, too.

you did the impossible: you made me like derena. not as a couple, but as friends. i can picture serena making dan watch chick flicks (i watch them, no shame) and getting him drunk and being awesome besties with nate. i also love any and all pitch perfect references.

anyhoo, i liked the way chuck and blair fell apart. it wasn't because he was drunken or abusive or because he cheated. it was because they just aren't compatible. and the fact that nate points out they're all little clones of their parents and how he just decided to change that.

major props for getting b. to yale. it always bothered me that she never got her dream on the show. and the ending is beyond perfect. i LOVED the reversal of the 'i love you' scene.

This was one of the best one shot I ever read post S6 - All what you wrote was heartbreaking and at the same time so stunningly good and sweet. It also made a lot of sense, something for those in charge of the show couldn't grasp - I swear that they could ruin a sunset in the caribbean.
So I will take this story to my canon, like other stories has done for me with brilliant writers that can write - So thank you so much for this one!

Btw you should consider continue with this story, at least 1 or 2 more chapters.
