As for new riders?

Seeing as most of the kids either already have companions or are plain jerks I don't really know. Things got a lot better after they matured, but still...honestly the kind of people I'd see benefitting the most from a dragon are those that for once need people only loyal to them. A special someone who neither demonizes you nor gives undue praise...Hinata would work well, maybe Lee or if he were older Konohamaru.
