Awesome story! Just one thing I find a bit confusing. If male mermaids could also get pregnant, wouldn't they have a natural way of giving birth to children instead of having a c-section? I doubt that mermen would even be able to have kids if they couldn't naturally get it out of there somehow. It would be pointless.
