I think I even prefer your more conciliatory ending to their „reunion“ in the actual show. Hooray for Sherlock & Anderson bonding, even if - like other reviewers before me - I‘d never have expected those words to ever go together. Well done!

I love the idea that both doubters come to believe, even after the fact. After all (as the last little bit points out) since Sherlock isn't dead, they can get on with things in a better way.

Your Anderson actually seemed like a decent guy. I really wonder if canon will redeem him as well. I kind of like the idea that he was one of Moriarty's minions though.
