I enjoyed a lot reading this story! thankyou for writing it! good job!

This fight seems to have come out of nowhere, or rather their misunderstandings seem to have come from nowhere. After the talk about Alexis not being Rick's (which I'm a bit surprised about), and him saying he wants more kids, Kate should know he would be happy having a child with her. Also, Rick saying they have no stability isn't even true. Yes, her dad is an alcoholic, but Kate has been living with Rick and Alexis all this time and he wasn't questioning the stability then. Both of them waiting on the other to mention a break up is ridiculous because everything had been going fine considering both of their personal issues. I just think this entire argument could've been avoided because, for lack of better phrasing, it's ridiculous.

This review has nothing to do with this chapter. I just so happened to progress this far while not connected to the internet. Two chapters or so before you mentioned Alexis' fifth birthday, you were already referring to her as being five. I want to say they're typos because you made a point in mentioning Meredith having missed her fifth birthday.

[screaming with no attempt at restraint] I LOVE THIS STORY SO MUCH. I know I've got several of your stories in my favorites list, but this is the new #1. I don't know what exactly the 'too much angst' complaints were, but I thought all of the elements worked together perfectly. This is exactly the kind of story I most enjoy reading-lots of hurt/comfort sweetness, angst but not major character death, a fulfilling ending that takes us back to the beginning-I... I have no words. I knew from chapter one that-no, that's not right. I knew as soon as I saw the story summary that this was going to be fantastic, and wow, you (per usual) did not disappoint. From the look of things, there has not yet been a multi-chapter epic sequel to this, but just know that, if you ever do decide to write one, I AM READY. Great work on this and congratulations on a job well done! Thanks so much for posting it.

Okay, I was going to be a really calm, relaxed reader and review only the first chapter with my first impression, and the last chapter with my totally overwhelmed, gushing, beyond-in-love review of the whole story. But I cannot help myself now. That was SUCH a good chapter! This whole story has been great so far, and I'm so excited to keep reading, but I had to pause to tell you that this chapter is a particularly wonderful one. Awesome work!

(Though I love the suspense, I'm glad I don't have to wait for updates on this one!) Great job on this one. I've read that little story that inspired this fic, and I love it so much. You have no idea how excited I was to find it expanded upon for my otp. Great job so far! Now, I'm shutting up and getting on to chapter 2!

It's over wow it was a really good,story

so one glorious day I decided to give Castle fic a try - it's been one of my favourite series over the years but somehow I avoided it here... well that day was yesterday (technically two days ago since it's after midnight :P) and am I glad I did that :)
to think that I found this story purely by chance - randomly scanning the Castle fics, opening it up as one of the five that I chose to 'give a try to' based on the interesting title and description...
obviously - as you can see that I'm already reviewing at the end - I fell in love with your work almost immediately, the first chapter was more than enough ;) as soon as I finished it I read it again too, hope you don't find that too creepy :D
so - just wanted to thank you for sharing this or maybe blame you that now I will spend the next weeks/months with Castle taking the lead in my daily 'fic indulgence', all of it being your fault :P
oh and expect a few more reviews coming your way, I'm guessing I will go through most of your stories in record time, your fault for creating something this good :) I might even go totally crazy-fan and try watching NCIS, just to read the other half of your 'works-of-art' :D

So I just read this in like two days. I don't even know if you read these reviews anymore but you need to know how amazing this fic is! Oh my heart was like crying of cuteness the whole way through! I'm glad you didn't stick to the whole Castle storyline with Kate becoming a teacher instead of a cop! Truly amazing work and I'm so sad to finish it!

Wow this was a rollercoaster and a half! Blimey! There were bits I loved and bits I liked and bits I wasn't crazy about but found they were important to the plot so went with it and in the end it was all worth it. Well done!
