So beautiful. I don't even think it's sad. Sherlock had John until he was 68, in 30 minute intervals. What a wonderful like that would have been for him. John must have found beauty in it, too, or he wouldn't have stayed for so long. Your writing is gorgeous and you evoke mood so masterfully. Kudos!

I have never sobbed so hard in my life and I am incredibly surprised that it was a fanfiction that caused it. How could I cry for fanfiction and not real life but this was beautiful heart-wenchingly beautiful story . I a sobbing mess...excuse me, but I really love your story.

I read this story once, a long time ago, and this last chapter had been running through my head ever since driving me mad because I couldn't locate this story again. I'm so glad I finally found it. Your writing is simply beautiful even if the ending is one of the saddest things I've ever read. Thanks for the fantastic story.
