I completely enjoyed this story, and love how you have the voices of everyone involved. It was sweet, and romantic. It was actually beautiful. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Yes! This was good! I liked this! I don't think I have any notes on this. I was much too distracted by what was happening to pay attention to any of the mechanics or what I was thinking—this is me paying you some big compliments. I could go back and reread this, but I don't really want to taint my initial reading: I don't think it's possible to enjoy this anymore than I just did, which means its only downhill from here. This was just fantastic.

Ugh...these last two chapters were good. I take back what I said in my last review. I would make it a two-chapter story and incorporate some of what happened in chapters 1 and 2 into the previous chapter. I'm chalking it up to the fact that Tina and Marley were removed from direct involvement in the conflict. The level of everything was just very different in these last two chapters versus the first two.

Thanks for asking me to review. :) I enjoyed this. Cheers!

I don't know if you ever thought about this, but I feel like you should have opened your story with this. I feel like this is the meat of your story. This was really interesting with Sam's perspective, teasing with glimpses of what happened and then putting the two directly in the same room without actually having them interact. You'd hook the reader with this, and then develop it more with POVs from Marley and Tina, and then drive it home with whatever you have planned for Blaine. I haven't read the last chapter yet, but I feel like that would've been a good way. In comparison to this cheater, I feel like the first two were lacking emotions where this one has it in spades. It would have taken a few slight tweaks, plot-pacing wise, but that's how I would've ordered. Just me.

One thing I wasn't entirely sure of: the incident happens the previous Saturday. Is that the Saturday from when Sam spent the weekend at Blaine's, meaning that the incident was the two of them fooling around? I thought it was in some spots, but then I feel like other spots argued that that wasn't the case. A little lost.

So you've really got me curious. I need to see how this ends!

I find it ironic that the two characters I am least fond of in the series are the first two you started off with lol. And then this entire chapter was the, again, just a me thing: I know they have a lot of fans on here. Different folks, different strokes. :)

So I'm going to say two things:

1. I get your characterization of Tina, I do. I understand your decisions and I see where you went with her. I like how you took what's been given to us on the show and sort of fan with it a bit, adding your own little touches. I thought she was well developed and everything she did or said made perfect sense. I see the logic behind her.

2. That said, and maybe this is my bias coming into play, I found her a bit annoying. There were times when I felt like you wanted me to be annoyed with her, and then there were times where I thought "Eh, I can see that. I'll give you a small amount of sympathy." I went back and forth, but I think I was meant to, right?

You've built up this issue with Blaine. You better deliver something satisfying! All my saying lol. Don't set me up for nothing! ;)

Lol ok, so no lie: as soon as I read the first sentence, I immediately rolled my eyes and sigh, "Ugh...her..." You may or may not know, but I just can't stand Marley's character and I find the actress to be annoying when she's onscreen. I'm hoping this story isn't told entirely from her perspective. So keep my prejudice in mind because I'm sure it'll taint my reading at least somewhat; take this with a grain of salt, my friend.

You've set up the story pretty well. I feel like I have a pretty decent idea of who is going to be in it. I will say that you may want to comb through this with a fine-tooth comb because there is a lot of verb tense disagreement. I always referred to it as "time traveling in your writing" when I worked with the older kids :) It was a bit distracting, not gonna lie.

That said, I am intrigued by the notion that conflict has already been established. You know me, I'm a big fan of disagreements and other forms of discord amongst characters. From the impression of this first chapter though, I feel like this is going to be a more cerebral and introspective look at how these characters are interacting...which is not necessarily my first choice for reading, but that's a personal preference thing. As an example of that type of story telling, I thought you did an excellent job. You got in her head and really developed the character in a nice way that felt very natural. I tip my hat for that (rhymed!).

Let's see how chapter 2 goes...

I meant to review every chapter but somehow kept flipping through till the end, that's how captivated I was by your story. The point of view of four different characters giving us a glimpse of the main characters and the mysterious incident that occurred was incredible. It kept me wanting more. The songs made it even better. I had to download them immediately, I love 'The Chain'. Now, I'm not as good at reviewing as you are, but just had to let you know that I loved it. Great job.
Jade Paton chapter 4 . 4/2/2013
This is really amazing. I mean I've always loved stories that have a clear structure and it really feels more like a journey that has four stops and at the end of it, you feel like you've got the whole experience. Ok, this suck, because I have these feelings about your story that I just can't express properly even in my own mother tongue, much less in English. Even the fact I was able to write this comment is impressive though, considering that when I finished the last chapter my mind went: "This! I...that...ok...eeeeep!"
And I haven't listen to The Chain yet, but You Don't is beautiful and I can totally hear Blaine singing it. And I'll definitely check out the singer Blaine suggested to Finn.
Keep writing, you're really good at it :).

Love, Jade
