FenreldStormblade chapter 8 . 8/23
I'm loving the semi-evil Naruto. I hope the ichiraku's survived... but I wouldn't be surprised if they were amongst the first to go.

I am looking forward to the next chapter.

I'm curious what happened to Ayame and Teuchi as well as Konohamaru and his friends, hope they made it out.

Also curious if Tenten's father ends up dealing with the one who killed his wife and if it's someone noteworthy responsible, there's still some minor characters unaccounted for, Genma and Raidou were wounded, but they could have recovered and joined the fray. Then there's Yugao and Aoba, wondering the fate of the former while the latter would have definitely joined the haters. There's also Gai's fate undisclosed.

My only problem with this is that you've killed off most of Naruto's opposition save for Orochimaru and the Akatsuki, but with whom Naruto has on his side now, it's only a matter of time before the two mentioned threats fall. Personally I think it went too quickly, Kakashi's a sneaky bastard, I feel he more would have tried to play ally and then try to stab Naruto in the back, and Danzo's a coward, I feel he would have ran with his tail between his legs after realizing he was outmatched, I mean he DID try to run away from Sasuke in canon, so it's obvious Danzo's spineless.
Guest chapter 5 . 12/13/2019
Actually, Kuroko would be a feminine name meaning "Dark Child" with "Kuro' meaning "Dark" and "Ko" meaning 'Child". Also "Ko" is commonly used in female names like Saeko, Ryoko, Rinko, Natsuko, this is also why 'Naruko" was chosen as the name for Naruto's female form.

Male names typically end in "Maru" meaning "Ring" like Konoha-Maru. "Jiro" meaning "Son", like "Sojiro", or "taro" like "Kintaro" or "Jotaro". Very, very, very seldom are male's given names with 'Ko" in it, and usually it is done so by overly affectionate mothers in the same regard that American women give their children "unisex" names like "Taylor" or "Jamie", naming a Japanese boy with "Ko" is akin to that, but far rarer in Japan than America as Japanese often believe a child's name makes the person, therefore giving your son an effeminate name would make him effeminate himself. Japanese put a lot more thought into naming their children, considering not just how the name sounds, but the meaning behind the name as well.
Guest chapter 3 . 12/13/2019
This is a great story so far, I like the cold, calculated yet still somewhat ambiguous Naruto you're portraying rather than the completely dark asshole wannabe Uchiha that so many other's portray (this is a TRUE semi-dark Naruto fic, bravo). I also like how you've made him cunning and dangerous which contrary to what some might be saying IS very realistic even for a CANON Naruto. Naruto has ALWAYS shown himself to be highly adaptable on the battlefield, even surpassing Shikamaru in terms of strategy, Shikamaru plans out attacks better but if people notice, he gets thrown off when one of his strategies doesn't fall through, which is why the Sasuke Retrieval Mission failed, Naruto on the other hand adapts as he fights. The only thing is Naruto's MORALITY and his diehard good nature is what limits this adaptability, you've removed that, while Naruto hasn't gone dark, he's shown willingness to kill and this makes his unpredictability more lethal. Again, people don't pay attention to the fact Naruto is fully capable of killing his opponents, he holds back due to his sense of morality, a prime example is both of his battles with Sasuke at the Valley of the End, Naruto COULD have killed him both times if he wasn't trying to save him, especially in the last battle when he used the reflection on his headband to see Sasuke moving in to kill him and then dodged before delivering that chin-duster, that kind of unpredictability and adaptability makes Naruto freaking dangerous, and had he instead at that moment simply spun around with a kunai, he'd have perfectly aimed at Sasuke's heart and it'd be game over for the Uchiha runt.

Most of all though, I applaud you on understanding the difference between SEMI-dark and Evil, VERY FEW authors understand this and I end up clicking on a so-called 'Semi-Dark' fic where instead Naruto acts like either Madara or Sasuke (both of whom are not 'dark' or 'badass' to me, but whiny little bitches).

I also like the civil divide between the villagers upon Sarutobi's announcment, it adds a sense of realism because true, I would imagine all the clan heads and clan heirs would gravitate to Naruto's side. Why? Because even in canon the clans have shown more concern over their own well-beings as a clan instead of the village, after all, they can survive without the village civilian populous and rebuild, Hell, they can form their OWN ninja villages. However at the same time it's believable the ninja without clans, like how you depicted Genma and Asuma (yes because CANON wise, there is NO such thing as a Sarutobi CLAN), would be more concerned with the village, because the village is who they have to look after, not a clan or a large family, the village IS their family and they don't understand the importance of putting a clan above the village. However I also see their being divergences to said points due to certain circumstances like you depicted with the three Kunoichi (though honestly I see Kurenai going against Naruto since one, her father was killed by Kyubi, and two, she actually looked at Naruto with disdain in the Chunnin Exams and NEVER showed gratitude for him helping her by boosting Hinata's confidence, saving Yakumo, and killing Kakuzu to avenge Asuma, not to mention saving her and everyone else from Pein), I do however see Anko and Hana siding with him. Same falls with the clans, although I can see them following Naruto due to clan loyalty, I can see some like the Hyuga and Inuzuka taking the opposite approach due to the former's pride and the latter's pack-like mentaility (Inuzuka would view Konoha the village as their pack).

Alll in all, it's a very realistic and well-drafted story, I look forward to updates.

Love it.
thegrison chapter 5 . 10/1/2019
Look I get it is dark Naruto but this is just silly. You needed to start earlier in Naruto life or more slowly. It just turned dark way too quick. Very few people turn that fast and those that do become insane or more than half crazy.
Belios chapter 5 . 9/16/2019
Sorry, this is as far I could get. This isn't Naruto anymore. This is a sick thing wearing Naruto's skin. Killing a girl who is remorseful for her wrongdoings and wants to make it up to you. And her parents who were kind to you. Just so you can have someone steal her body? Hell, in canon Naruto forgave goddamned Obito, who was the cause of virtually all his suffering.
Valkipher chapter 3 . 9/3/2019
This story panderr to Naruto too much. I can't continue it.
aratakasugatrinity7 chapter 2 . 8/22/2019
What is Naruto on? A true ninja indeed uses deception and undervalued tactics to win..? Also, his tantrum can't as bad as Sasuke's in canon but it is starting to go down that path. Is he gonna mellow out soon?
