what an interesting first meeting! glad legolas is allowed to see the world now

Finally, someone shares my view on wolves! Wow! I love this story! And not just for the wolves, it was in itself amazing.

HOW have I missed this, iiionly? It is a wonderful piece, with all your gift for creating seriously fabulous (in its literal sense as well as figurative) scenery and images. That idea of the carvings of the palace, the birds seeming to fly alongside, is particularly rich and lovely. It made me wonder what other magical gifts and objects the Elves would have created. And I love the way you depict Aragorn in this- as clever, uncomfortable with his deceit because of his own deception by Elrond- whom he seems to have forgiven (have just had a great plot bunny hop my way!), and wise enough to abandon diplomacy and speak from the heart. I think your Aragorn is ALWAYS true to the character and I 'see' him very clearly. Just enthralling. I do hope this is going to become a fic .

I love the meeting of Aragorn and Legolas, very nicely done and entertaining.

Loved the story of Aragorn and Legolas first meeting. I also enjoyed your portrayal of Thranduil as a father and King that is as good at loving his son and ruling his kingdom as Elrond. I do hope you plan to someday return to this story and relate the further adventures of the would be king aragorn and the forever prince Legolas.

Ach, what a lovely vivid picture you've painted of Mirkwood, the palace and - especially - Legolas' room, showing a child growing up and into a man by just showing us that room.
Loved the gentle humor and banter - "The horse-sized spiders were a bit off putting, I admit,..." lololol
And what a great start of a life-long friendship this is.
