This is so..moving and yet credible. In canon Ted always tries to reach out softly to Crews but Crews never pays him enough attention. Crews never accommodates himself for him-but he did for Rachel on the subject of the table etc. Ted tried to contact Crews before that woman, but Crews was indifferent and Ted didn't want to trouble him knowing that he was busy.

Ted always wants to be unobtrusive. And I CAN believe that Crews had Ted as his bitch and took care of him gently, but now just dropped him. Probably thinks that Ted is feels the same.

Awww...that's sad, but I never really considered how dependent Ted would have been on Charlie - in and out of prison. It's not too slash, hinted, but not overt and probably would never have been hinted at on series TV. I thought it was a bit melancholy, but appropriately so... Well written, well thought out and I enjoyed reading it. Thanks for sharing - hope you'll write more.
