Aw, I love it (there. No romantic entanglements, so it's much easier to say the dreaded 4-letter word)! I think Darcy's reaction was perfect. Just an un-ironic laugh, and an "I know," which made everything even better. I'm glad she left with him, instead of letting him go once more. She's 25 years old now! Yay for autonomy! Or as much autonomy as is possible whilst living with one's parents... Thank you for sharing this, it's exactly what I didn't realize I wanted.
