I realize that it's been years and you will probably never answer this, but in regards to the authors note. You specifically mention in the first story that the TARDIS was translating the Doctors language for Rose. She also left Rose's clothes out on her bed, but seemed to stop after Rose mentioned it to the Doctor. Why the change?

I totally appreciate that Amy and Rory actually got a happy exit. Moffat writes pretty mind-twisting episodes that are fun, but I hate how he always has to pull the rug out from under his characters to have them experience the worst pain possible. So kudos! I wonder if we'll see Jack anytime soon?
