Ahhhhhhh this was so sweet! And so well done, actual serious look instead of just hand waving away relationship problems with ~ love fixes everything ~ awesome fic!

Was expecting a Ran and Sonoko friendship... I was not disappointed when I finished reading this. This is just wonderfully and perfectly written that I didn't even care if there's Japanese honorifics in here (I tend to stay away from any story using Japanese words expect the name). But seriously, this is amazing!

Ran being Polyamorous? I didn't see that coming. I wasn't expecting Shinichi to be anywhere near as understanding as he was either - most people would feel a lot more conflicted, especially with a relationship that's been so long. Also - Shinichi's always struck me as a character that needs control over his surroundings, especially after the day he was poisoned. I don't think he'd be able to give up control in this relationship, at least not without a fight. The conversation he has with Hondou Eisuke, for example. (Eisuke is going to the US to get out of the way of his sister's mission, and asks Conan to ask Shinichi permission to date her and take her back to the US with him. Conan answers as Shinichi, telling him basically, "Hands off! She's mine!") That conversation pissed me off - they both were talking about her as if she were an object to be owned.

A small point in an otherwise awesome fanfic. It definitely earned a place on my Favorites list.

What's this? I'm not alone in the universe? There is another Ran/Sonoko shipper out there? Allow me to pause to express my extremely vocal surprise and joy for a few minutes...

Now that that's over, I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of things in the first chapter of this fanfic.

You can spell and you use punctuation effectively.
You developed Sonoko's voice very nicely; and I loved the very affectionate phonecall between them.
I also liked that Makoto was a gentleman - being the male version of Ran, after all. (Seriously, how do more people not notice this?)
No random Japanese peppering the dialogue. You have no idea how much that bothers me. Especially when people get it wrong! I generally stay away from honorifics too, but it's common enough in professional translations to leave them in, so that's less annoying.

I'm interested to see how Sonoko will deal with her family. Lesbian couples are discriminated against a lot more in Japan than gay-male couples, and with her family's power, wealth, and influence on the line, they definitely won't want Sonoko embarrassing the family by publicly dating another girl.

I had a similar thought process when I figured out I was Bi, freshman year of highschool, but I was too much of a chicken to act on it. (Small bar&church town - you get the idea.)

So I'm going to keep reading.

I am gushing so much. This fanfiction was absolutely fantastic and made me so happy!

I came in expecting to read Sonoko/Makoto, which I like somewhat. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the Sonoko/Ran, which I like even more. And though I usually like Shinichi/Ran in the way that I feel I'm *supposed* to support them, your characterization of their relationship made me actually like them a lot. -

I love how you kept everyone in character and managed to break up relationships and redefine others without demonizing anybody. I felt so bad for everyone that I wanted everyone to be happy, which is why I was so ecstatic to see our POV characters settle into a comfortable love triangle. Everyone gets to be with who they love! (Except Makoto...) But still, I adore how you utilized characterization, drama, and emotions. This fic made me tear up and laugh along with its ups and downs, and I truly look forward to reading more Detective Conan by you.

This is beautiful and I would love to see more of this. Everyone seems in character. :)

Beautiful, this wrung my heart in agony for the characters. You truly do a fantastic job in portraying them and their interactions, and they're all marvelously in-character.
