Always loved that episode. Trampas and the Virginian together Epi's were always my fav. Would like to thank you for ending it finnally. A good FF should always be finished. That's for writing FF for the Virginian!

This has been an interesting thought provoking chapter...Between Trampas trying to trust Sam and The Virginian and Suzanne trying to take care of Mr. Sturdevant. At least for now Trampas and Sam seem to be doing ok and are out of danger from the Storm and Sturdevant has come out of his coma and is lucid. Will Trampas and his companion make it into town and will there be a doctor available? Will Sturdevant continue to improve or slip back into a coma? How long will it take before Trampas and Sam make it back to where The Virginian and the others are? I'll be anxious to find out what will happen...till next time.

You've added a note of mystery here that's quite intriguing - especially in the notion that the Virginian has as to the resemblance between the two men.

Sam is so silent and shares so little - one could almost wonder if Trampas is holed up in that cave with a ghost...

Having just rediscovered the series - and recently enjoying Wind of Outrage - I'm pleased with your story. Finding your dialogue to be well written which is not an easy thing. Oftentimes, writers get a bit too carried away with the Western vernacular - you keep a nice rein on that (oops, bit of a pun there !) You've got a plausible balance on Trampas - the touch of humor in tandem with his more serious side when the situation calls for it. So, I'll be watching for that next chapter - don't leave 'em out in the cold too long !

This was a really exciting intriguing chapter with Trampas trying to figure out whether Sam is on the up and up and not trying to trick him and The Verginian dealing with his concern for Trampas and defending himself against the wounded man who began a fevered hallucination while trying to not injure him further. I can't help but wonder ofcourse what will happen next...I will be on the edge of my seat until the next chapter to find out if Trampas and Sam will run into trouble in their journey ...and will Sturdevant servive? I look forward eagerly to the next chapter...tell next time.

Great start (and nice to see some new Virginian fics on here)! Season seven is my second least favorite of the show (I vastly prefer the first three and final years of the series for their more serious, thought-out tone), but I did enjoy this particular episode so I'm curious to see where you take this.

I think you did a good job keeping everyone in character. The only thing that seemed a little off to me was the part about Trampas smirking. I may be wrong but I can't ever recall Trampas smirking in the entire show. Usually he gives a wide, sort of lazy grin when he knows he's right.

Wow a new Virginian FF and a good one too. Will be looking forward to more!

This is certainly an exciting beginning, and all the characters seem right as far as I can tell, although, it has been quite a while since I have seen "The Virginian" it was a favorite show growing up and (Doug McClure) Trampas, was my favorite character. I am not familiar though with the other guy or the show he comes from, but he does seem like an interesting character and I'll be anxious to see what will happen in the next chapters...till next time.

I enjoyed this very much. I liked the idea of a continuation of Winds of Outrage. I also loved that it involved Trampas and The Virginian together. I am looking forward to Chapter 2.
