I actually didn't think Burt unsuspecting at all. It's the fact he isn't entirely convinced, that he reaches out to Blaine - to me it feels like he knows a lot more than he's letting on, but doesn't want to push Kurt (because that doesn't work) and doesn't want to share with Blaine more than needed. Which is what happens with mental illness. It gets swept under the carpet. At least, until people are ready to talk about it. And that's how I read Burt...

It's a really heavy read though. I'm not sure I can go back over it. It's funny now that I can deal with itching and those thoughts and everything, but I still can't get over heaviness of thoughts, of words. Needless to say, Kurt's definitely not alone in all of those, much as he probably can't see it.

Blaine's intriguing me here. He seems to be experiencing all that for the first time, but then, he seems to know what he's doing as well. It makes me wonder how - whether he's listened to the Warblers talk about things, or he's gone to Wes or... I don't know. He's doing brilliantly though :-)

There's parts of this that remind me of Titanic, for some reason. That scene where they meet, on the back of the boat, "You jump, I jump,". It seems like this is sort of... moving their relationship forward, I guess. Or at the very least, trust will come of it, a more intimate sort of trust... Hmm...

It's interesting how you manage to get both sides across here. Or maybe because I know both, but I can see that worry and confusion and hurt from Blaine, but Kurt's final words are so empty... You manage to get it to resonate, and it's quite powerful.

This is absolutely gorgeous! Beth reminds me a little of my sister when she was maybe 3 or 4... It's kind of funny picturing her in that universe, but it works! I love seeing how different people interpret that as well, how they place her back with Quinn, and the effects that has on her, but how they make it work. I think this is one of the best I've seen - it just feels so real, so right. It's so cute!

I absolutely love Quinn & Kurt together, and the idea of Burt & Beth there too - all of them a family. Just the best ever. And Beth's fascination with oranges was an interesting detail especially as Quinn loves orange juice so much. A sweet, happy story! :)

This was beautifully written, I love the helplessness that filled this chapter. Fantastically written, awesome job!

This was unbearably sad. And while I usually find stories where guys self-harm to be unrealistic, this had an authenticity to it. Very vivid, from Puck & Finn playing video games to Kurt's last line about just wanting to feel something. There's a tenderness in Blaine here that I don't know that I'd be able to conjure in that situation. Almost maternal, which is interesting. Can't wait for the new prompt! Less than a week! :)

Wow, this was really deep. I love the raw emotion that is felt here and the complete sense of helplessness that is heard in Kurt' s voice. Extremely well done, such a touching moment here.

Awwww! So sweet. I liked all the preparation that went into their performances, as well as the mention that Puck can sew. :) I did find the exposition about Wes in the beginning overly wordy and therefore difficult to get through. (I find a remedy for this is to SHOW the character traits rather than telling about them. Weave the trait into a quick remembrance of Blaine's, for instance.) Also, what a great song choice! And I love stories about Wes, so I was so happy to read this!

Really heartfelt and deeply emotional! This would be a great multi chapter fic! My heart ached for Kurt!
