In the previous chapter you ended with "all but one thought ran through his head. Sherlock." this implies that he thought of everything BUT Sherlock. You might want to say "onlyobe thought ran through his head. Sherlock" so we kno that he was only thinking about Sherlock.

Whoa. The second chapter was really intense, especially the last few paragraphs. I feel like you've got John's character down but I hope there's more Sherlock in the next chapter :D How old are you? The writing's pretty good.
