Wow! You're doing what I'd honestly like to do with AiR, so more power to you! It's been so long that I'll have to read the whole thing over from the beginning anyway :) Whether you choose to replace these chapters or post a completely new story is up to you. If the old version is making you cringe, or if you want to keep the same title and avoid reader confusion, you might feel better painting it over with your fresh revision. I guess it depends on just how much the story is changing. In any case, it will definitely be worth keeping a copy somewhere as proof of writing growth. However it goes, I'll make sure I'm following you to read the rewrite! I got this notification because of my "follow" status all that time ago, but I can't remember if I was just following this story or if I was following you.

In regards to your question, you offer an interesting choice. I think creating a “refined” version of ASF and having the original remain would be a neat way to see how you’ve grown as a writer. I guess one day when all is said and done, you could remove it if you so choose, but the original isn’t *bad.* in fact, it’s one of my favorite fics of all time. I go back to it from time to time, because I really do like it so much :)
Just as you said, It would also sort of be like a remaster. The original exists, but here’s a new version that has a ton of improvements and quality of life changes.
So a big big YAY from me.

Glad to know you’re still kicking. Personally I think it would be best if you just started a whole new story for the revised chapters. Though if you do you should definitely update this one with another AN so that we can follow the new one. Thanks for not giving up on this story.

So, I have personally always enjoyed coming back to this fic every so often, because I always enjoyed the way it was written and the flow of the story. However, if you believe that you have matured and become more refined as an author, then I'd be more than happy to see what would happen if you were to write this story anew. If you do end up doing so, creating a whole new story, instead of just updating these chapters is probably a better idea.

I think you should rewrite it! It was a really good story and got me hooked from the beginning!

First of all, omg update! I remember loving this fic back when I was reading it and following all the updates. I would love for it to get an update and then get finished. Either way would be fine with me. For nostalgic reasons I'd say make a new one, but this one already has the followers and comments of course. No matter what I'll be sure to give it a re-read.
