I love this and wish there were more. This review is 6 years late but I hope you see it. I watched episodes 4-6 about a year ago because of Shaun Evans but recently binge-watched the entire series.

I'm not sure I want Daniel with Martha but I have just finished Season 2 and you wrote in this fiction the best tagline ever for this show: "We all fall a little bit in love with Miss Martha Costello, sir, all of us."

I bow to this sentence and I loved the fiction in general, I agree that Daniel has no chance whatsoever here. Martha is spectacular. You should definitely write more :D.

I love the way you've written this. I didn't really overly consider Martha and Daniel as a pairing in the programme (I was too in love with the Martha/Billy friendship, I think), but this makes me think they would be a sweet couple, and I'm sure they'd have a lot of fun together.

I like how you use speech sparingly, so it feels like a real interaction with real feeling rather than just some things some people are saying, if you see what I mean. And this line - "We all fall a little bit in love with Miss Martha Costello, sir, all of us." - is fabulous. I think we do.

This is adorable because I actually think you have Daniel pretty accurate, he is so cute and completely besotted by her elegance.
Love how you made it like a case brief at the beginning and the fact she had a pen in her mouth :D
