Hi. This is gonna be the weirdest comment you've ever gotten, and I'm sure as hell you wouldn't expect it to be on this story, but here goes.

So, back in 2013, when Portal first came out, I was an innocent little 12 year old kid who was OBSESSED with Portal 2, and spent hours each night searching for fanfics on by character; for instance searching "Chell" and reading all of the Chell fics, "Wheatley", and reading all of the Wheatley fics... etc, etc. etc... all the way down to the minor cores.

Eventually, this searching brought me to this fanfiction. "Busted"- an innocuous title, with a somewhat interesting description. Unfortunately, I was not jaded enough to read the ratings, nor understand the meaning of "nsfw". I read about halfway through this fic before I realized it wasn't exactly something I'd want my mother or grandmother knowing about. I closed the window and tried to forget about it, but this freakin fic stayed with me for YEARs. (Bear with me, this is a funny story in the end).

This finally brings me to tonight. I was talking on the phone with a long- time friend who just finished reading Blue Sky (I'm sure that as a Portal fan and fanfiction writer, you have read or at least heard of this fic). It basically got us talking about portal, and namely about pPortal fanfiction. I jokingly brought up this old fanfiction (whose name I coudn't remember) that I recalled reading when I was not yet a teenager, where (in my vague recollection), Wheatley got pulled over by Rick, and uh... stuff ensued. My terrible memory provided such lines as Rick telling him to "bend over, pardner n' take a sip." among other ridiculous half-remembered lines.

Just leave it to my friends to go the extra mile.

This girl searched all the Rick portal fanfictions and actually found this wonderfully, stupidly powerful little fic that has stuck with me to this very day. Together, we read through it in dramatic voices and laughed our asses off. When we finished, I was actually delighted to find that the whole affair was simply a consensual bit of roleplay between romantic partners. Surprise!

In summary, I want you to know that this fic has truly changed my life. I'm not terribly sure if it was a 'good' change or a 'bad' one per se, but it's been a change nonetheless. Anyways, this fic was a wild ride from the first time my naiive eyes read the words "Open up, sweetheart," to tonight- laughing until I cried with a friend over this little piece of writing that has changed my life.

In summary, thank you. Thank you for this weird, smutty little fic. I will legitimately remember it for as long as I live.
