This is such an exquisite story. I love the way you write the contrasts of light and darkness throughout both their lives, and their reunion at the end is so beautiful and bittersweet. I hope you'll write for Les Mis because you do it so well!

Dear themanofonebook: This is a beautifully poetic and very moving story. I'm not normally a big fan of slash, but I was deeply touched by your portrayal of Valjean and Javert and the love between them. I admire your use of the imagery of the sun, and I love the descriptive way you write. I also liked how you compared and contrasted the lives of these two men. I do wish you had included translations of the French phrases, as the amount of French I know could be written on the head of a pin, but otherwise this story is excellent.
