Im so happy to see your updated! I really love this story and am looking forward to where you go with it. I thought this was an excellent way to introduce John seeing Sherlock's scars. After all, Sherlock isn't the type to just slip up. I also thought that John breaking protocol so that Sherlock wouldn't haves to feel uncomfortable was very in character. Its so easy to lean towards making a character OOC in these AU fics that seeing it done well is a great relief.

I can't wait to see what you do with the characters next chapter!

I'll tell you this, I don't think this chapter was sucky at all. I don't think I caught any errors worthy of mentioning, so don't worry too much about it. The concept of this story is very interesting, very realistic, because I think that a genius at that age would be well past his years and just so fed up with everything that cutting has become an actual option. And of course he'd be aware enough to realize the bystander effect would allow him to bear his scars in peace.
Nice jab at Anderson, by the way, it made me grin at my computer like crazy. I also enjoyed the silent understanding between John and Sherlock about all the errors the professor was making. I look forward to the next chapter, can't wait to see what happens with this new development, :)
