This is an amazing story and an amazing depiction of Amy and her growth. I LOVE it. I have head canon of some stories I want to write featuring Amy and her growth with teh team, and this is a great inspiration that it can be done and done well.

There is such a divided camp about Amy Allen. You either hate her or love her. There are those who hate her because they feel she infringes on the team. I don't love how she became part of the team (the blackmail angle) but I enjoyed her while she was there. Is she an original member of the A-Team? No, of course not. She's quite a bit younger than the guys and she doesn't have that long history with them. No Vietnam, no 10 yrs on the run with them...there is always going to be that part that reminds you that she is not an original member.
But is she an original member as far as the show is concerned? Yes, and many people hate that. No, she doesn't have their back history, but she was there from the beginning of the show, she's an original cast member. While she, sadly, didn't last too long, they added her for a reason (despite some of the lead actors protesting the need for a female presence).
I, personally, love Amy. (Tawnia I don't necessarily love...I'm indifferent about her. She didn't last long, I didn't love the character or the actress and she was clearly an attempt to replace Amy/Melinda Culea and she was a bad replacement. I don't hate her, but I can easily do without her). I think Amy brought a lot to the team, and there is so much story fodder for all the in-betweens we didn't get to see, like the fact that she was suddenly very comfortable carrying a gun, pulling scams, etc etc. I want to explore that angle both in writing (I haven't started yet, worried I won't do it justice lol) and in reading, and this is the first story I've found that handles it well.
I also dislike the idea that once she wasn't actively ON the team anymore that they were suddenly completely out of contact.
Anyway, I love every aspect of this story. I'd love to see more on the same path.

It sounds like even after Amy left the Team, she still had an awesome, adventurous life, with lots of interesting moments, though not a lot of time to relax. I'm glad for her.
