This is such a unique plot, which I feel is rare in this fandom. I so feel for Elena, I was heartbroken right along with her when she woke up, but I'm glad she found Damon! Can't wait to see how this story unfolds!

I actually like the part of their first meeting. They met for real. I wonder if she will ever read his letters.

So all was a dream? Was it somehow manipulated by them? Didn't think of that. And Damon fell in love with her through this state. Cannot wait for more

WOW! There's so much to love about this story. First, your writing is exceptional, you have a real talent for deep and insightful internal monologues. The Diary entry from Damon at the end of this chapter is just so unbelievably, authentic Damon. I'm guessing it was written while Elena was still 'asleep'. It's apparent that they have some history together, but exactly what that is, is only slowly revealing itself to us. BRAVO!

Second, you've manage to up-end canon (or at least that's what it seems) while still keeping what we know (as fans of the show) as part of the story. That is such a sophisticated way to tell a story. Again, your talent is evident on every page. Congratulations on creating this unique and (already) engrossing tale.

The mystery of how this all fits together is something I can hardly wait to discover. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

I just came across this fic and just had to read all of its chapters in one go. I am honestly so intrigged by this. Because as seen in this chapter Damon is real and this is just so confusing because he can't have compelled her since Jenna is alive and there is absolutely no supernatural in the world. Plus, in real TVD reality Elena is going through transition right now. What is his Dear Elena letter about. I feel like that would be so confusing to Elena, for her those years were real and to just go back in time? That would be tricky, I wouldn't know what's real and what isn't. It'd be so hard to backtrack. I can't wait to see if the reality Elena is in right now is actually real and if it is then how did she go back? Was it really just a coma? And if so then how is Damon suddenly here? I'm confused and I love being confused. Thank you so much for updating after so long I hope you continue :)
