I loved this! Poor broken Jack. I love this a lot. It was well written and a great idea and I liked their reactions at the end. Brilliant story!

I really enjoyed reading this take on Jack. Man, not being able to converse with someone for three hundred years... yeah, I can kind of understand why he would start chatting with inanimate objects. It's not like it made much of a difference whether or not he was talking to something sentient back then, huh?

I kinda like this unknown version of Jake. The unfiltered, maybe insane, chatter box. It's sad and yet a little endearing. Maybe Jake should talk with Jamie. Kids can be more understanding about the talking to anything (even feet) then most would expect. I used to do it a lot when I was younger cause I'd get bored. of course, nothing ever talked back but thats not the point. I can just imagine it now: Jack being a chatter box and Jamie just sitting there, completely unruffled, with the occasional, "Awesome!", "WOW!" and "Dude, you can talk ALOT" with laughter popping up here or there. Jack may not tell him all the bad times but Jamie would understand that cause their friends and he's a BAMF. Good times. Hope to see more...maybe?

Was what he thought what he said and how long did they sit there. Did he say all that? Wow that must be a shock! Walls are very conversational!

I really enjoyed this story, especially since you mentioned him stopping the French from invading Russia. Thank you for that reference, I've been wondering about that for a while now. :)
