Aw I loved all the Samara feels in here! Samara tries so hard to live by her code and to do the righ thing based upon that code. I liked how you made refrence to the moment on Lessus when Shepard stops Samara's attempted suicide and Falere gives Samara a way around the code by using the code itself. For me, that was a moment that showed the beginning of her realisation that the code isnt as concrete as maybe she once believed.

When your Shepard here hints to Samara that she'll keep her eye out for more loopholes like that in sticky sitations, it was very adorable, and Shep totally would call her out on BS if she hears it. But it was also very intresting because I think it partly acknowledges the question of te cultural relevance ofnthe justicar order after the war. In your universe, the justicars obviously still have relevance and are still needed, but that moment for me pointed out the question again: is this a dying order with outdated rules and a rigidity not suited to a contemporary 2180s) galaxy. Interesting stuff.

But back to the important bits: Samara and Shep actually happy! My heart. I also loved how Falere was encouraging her poor mom. Samara definitely needed that extra push! Great story, I loved every minute of it and I would love to see a sequel if you ever get there!

Love how this ended. The simple freedom that comes to mind, knowing that all there is left is to roam the stars and seek out injustices wherever they may be :) Sounds like something I'd be interested in to be honest. XD

I did think of something after reading this. After looking back, (Only did this once to capture the cutscene, then went back immediately and redid it) When Samara kills herself on Lesuss, Falere mentions that she had hoped that there was a way to leave the monastery and go with her mother. There is:

When an Ardat-Yakshi is deemed ready to return to society, they are freed from the monastery, if their time there was spent wisely in controlling and *treating* their condition. I had considered this option as well, but I like how Falere wants Shepard to watch after her mother and is so suportive :) Makes for a good end :)

This story was amazing, and if you're willing, I look forward to more in this pairing :) Congrats!

This was a good chapter :) Though I usually keep Kaidan, I liked Ash's supportive role here. It suits her :) I also liked that Falere had a part in this :) Always did want to see some reunification between them. Didn't get to see it much in game, save for what little we saw in the monastery on Lesuss. :)

To have Shepard retire, yeah I had thought along similar lines in an upcoming Femshep/Samara fanfic I am working on :)

i think this is a wonderful way to end the story. Granted that i don't want this to end but it was done nicely that makes people want more.

At first I was a little disappointed that you didn't do their first intimate encounter, but the more I think about it the more I like how you did it. It fits Samara's character perfectly.

Huzzah! Well this was fun while it lasted. Anyways I enjoyed beta'ing this story, even if I'm not a HUGE fan of Samara romance.
