I am off to read the sequel now , although I see it is not marked complete. I hope it isn't painfully incomplete... You know, where you get to the end of what is written and want to kill yourself because you don't know what happens ! :-)

It made for a very humorous and touching reveal. It was perfect for Gwaine's character.

I really have no clue where this story, but I am greatly enjoying the path it has traversed so far. It seems that there are a lot of threads being woven together cleverly, but I am still unable to make out the final design. I am glad to have many more chapters to peruse. :-)

Wohow... Everything in this story is soooo true! Merlin is extremely under-appreciated!

I love the idea of sometime in the future, after everybody knows about his magic, he'll run away from things like being healed by turning into various animals, and they all have to go looking for him. It's pretty easy to imagine the knights picking up stray cats, wondering if this one is Merlin, or maybe this one!

So when it seems like he does whew work of several people- he really does!

I really enjoyed this story. Your writing style is like nothing else I've seen on fanfic - the events are stated matter-of-factly but not all at once, forcing us to piece the information together; it's not overly sentimental; and the characters are portrayed so crudely, so humanly, and still so very much in character. The plot was like water washing over the reader, more an experience than a straightforward telling. And you had so many clever and insightful details that you realized about our beloved characters. Fantastic.

My only criticism would be for your grammar and spelling. It made sentences hard to follow at times. I wonder if you wrote very quickly? Just for the sake of making your already great writing that much better, I want to say:

1. "too", meaning "also" or "in excess". You consistently spelled it "to".

2. watch out for your commas and periods. Don't use hyphens "-" quite so much, either. I could see what you wanted them to do - create emphasis - but hyphens just don't work that way. Their main job is to interrupt a sentence to put in an extra comment. Neither should commas interrupt a sentence for emphasis. A good sentence will create its own impact with no extra help from you.

Just giving more attention to those things will make your writing more accessible, because the reader won't have to stop so often to figure out how to read a sentence. I haven't read your sequel yet - perhaps you've already fixed these things - but I want to see this great story appreciated. It deserves more than 77 reviews.

This was a really good story, and I'm glad I read it! You're writing style is more serious then a lot of the stuff I've seen, and it's nice to be able to see different ways that people write. Thought this story was too dark for my tastes, I couldn't stop reading until I reached the end! I will return to my fluffy Merthur stories, but look foreword to more work from you!
