Huh...very interesting...never heard of it before, but Derek's reaction to Stiles telling him that it's not a common thing reminds me of when I was really little and my mom finally got me to understand that just because echoes are painful for me personally doesn't mean that when the huge cathedrals across Europe were built that people had to build up a tolerance or wear some form of earplugging device in order to practice their religion. I will never forget the shock I felt when I finally figured out that echoes are most of the time NOT painful or disorienting for everyone...though that doesn't really match with ASMR, since it's not relaxing in the slightest. Still, very interesting!

I have never heard of asmr but after reading this I immediately looked it up. I have this! When people tickle my back or play with my hair my scalp sorta feels all tingly and I get all relaxed. That's how my mom put me to sleep when I was little. I thought everyone got that feeling. This is so weird.
