This was amazing.. It was so angsty, sad, and true-to-form that it made me cry at the beginning, get a lump in my throat in the middle, and smile sadly/ astonishedly at the end :D nice one

Poor boys. I'm really liking this series. It's a very believable au of what could easily have happened. The boys are very much in character and I like their reactions. Also appreciate how honest and up front Jack is in this scenario, and how hidden but vulnerable Ianto still is. This 'verse feels very real. Can't wait for the next one.

Ohhh. Still not liking that Jack is immortal & Ianto isn't. There ought to be some way. Just because Jack is immortal shouldn't mean he doesn't care or find a real and deep love for however long his mate would live otherwise he might as well be a machine. Or more probable he would be machine like - cold & calculating...no true emotions anymore. It does seem like that's how he is.

Great start. I like this succinct retelling and the changes to it - it's interesting how you've changed it and removed most of the Cyberwoman episode, and yet on an emotional level it stays similar, if not the same. I'm looking forward to reading more! :)
