I liked that, it made sense, the doctor doesn't do well on his own, well done!

Interesting take. I like to believe that he did indeed see himself. It's just that we see - especially in the past few seasons and a bit throughout them all - how much the Doctor hates himself. At first I thought he might've seen all of them dying - all his companions, one by one - but then he said "of course, who else?" and it made me realise it's just one person. Love the idea and the whole story, especially the last line.

I thought in the God Complex what was behind your door was your faith. Your faith in something, anything, the focal point of it all. With some help from tumblr, I came to the conclusion that in his door was Rose. He can't ever get her back and he truly believed in her. She changed in him in so many ways he couldn't imagine losing her. When he does, he lost his faith. That's why Amy was called to the "hotel", not the Doctor. He sees Rose, he remembers all his feelings of being with her and how much he trusted, loved, believed in her and right away knew that she would be the one behind his door but he never expected it.
