PastOneonta chapter 3 . 9/13/2015 Serious real pain and loss in this story. Depression is serious and warrants respect. It was well described in Emma's case. I am glad they found one another. The tragedies will always be with them but they are stronger now. Thanks for writing. |

CupCakeConundrum chapter 3 . 5/4/2013 Aww, chapter one was so cute :) It's adorable how they. Then chapter two with it's fuffiness, then BOOM! Tension and angst at the end. Oh, and I loved the line in Chapter 3: "David's awake, he wants to glare at you for proposing for him, Emma," Hilarious :) All in all, so much fluff with a dash of angst. It was lovely :) x x *HannaH* |

Irene SoWhat chapter 3 . 4/8/2013 First of, I feel awful that it took me so long to finally sit down, read this chapter and then leave a review! Secondly, I'm really saddened by the fact that this story is only 3 chapters long. I mean, it's SO good, and after reading that amazing second chapter, I imagined the whole story would be a bit longer! Moving on to the chapter itself. You did a wonderful job transforming Emma&Killian's backstories given on the show so they'd work into your own story just perfectly. Very believable and tragic. I absolutely love how you conveyed their states during the 'confession' parts - they are burdened with guilt, lost, broken, scared - that was easily tangible. As was the strength of the bond they'd created. "The hospital was chaos, her mind was chaos, Killian was an anchor of calm." - beautiful line. (What you used here is called a juxtaposition, right? I'm not good with these terms in English - a non-native speaker) I appreciate how you ended it on the sort of a light note with M&M's last words. Also one last thing that I wanted to tell you about when the first chapter was out, but I just... forgot. The fact that you entitled every chapter. It's a little thing, but I appreciate little things like that, - titles, quotes, excerpts from poems or song lyrics - which come with the main text of the stories, a great deal. Don't know why. But they they give something special to each story. In this story your titles are very eloquent, I loved that you'd made it all about steps - very appropriate for this plot. Thank you for sharing this story and killing me with feelings all the way through it :D I have to read your other stories! |
wolfcub004 chapter 3 . 3/8/2013 David's awake, he wants to glare at you for proposing for him, Emma Oh my god I love how you always add something hilarious like that in. This chapter was really everything all balled into one but not overwhelming great job. |

21sailors chapter 2 . 3/6/2013 Finally, I get to spread all my love for your second chapter! Love might not be the appropriate word as the story keeps crushing my heart (and will keep crushing it in the near future), but what's not to love really? It started as a sweet "friendship", then relationship... You pictured very well Emma's willingness to open her heart, her almost candid behaviour when she's around Killian ("At the store Killian almost always was stocking something, so Emma always lingered in whatever section he was in." Those lines speak for themselves) From the start, I knew something was wrong with Killian in this chapter. Of course, we were very well aware that their relationship wasn't going to be a peaceful one, but damn, their date felt like quiet before storm. I may read a bit too much into things but the lexical field used "deadness", "quiet", "quietly", "silence", "dead quite", helped create an awkward atmosphere and foreshadowed the events that followed. And all this leading to Killian's "betrayal"… Emma's distress and confusion was anything but harrowing. You made us feel her pain and that wasn't an easy thing to convey. Killian's suffering was also heartbreaking, particularly when he said "I couldn't even manage a date with you, I'm such a fucking failure." He seems to take every little issue to heart : that’s how you can see how lost the man is. I can't wait to read another brilliantly written chapter! |
Irene SoWhat chapter 2 . 3/5/2013 Oops! I wrote "worried" instead of "warned" last night :D What can I say... Congratulations, I don't even know you and you have my heart broken! I was really glad to read about the progress Emma'd made so far. It's a big thing. I loved that little conversation they had starting with "Did you irish the chocolate?" It was nice. Kind of like they have their own universe, if you get what I mean. You conveyed the emotional atmosphere perfectly. It's like it really is - something's gone wrong, just because. Maybe if they would've picked a different day... You also captured the fragility of their state truthfully. How anything in reality can trigger a horrible reaction, even if it seems insignificant for some... That scene on a bridge, when Emma spots a man and runs towards him is so well-written! Vivid and intense. The last scene made my heart ache for both of them... Poor Emma. And, oh, what happened to you, darling boy? When Killian says: "I let him fucking take over" who is he talking about? I'm so looking forward to the next chapter because I really want to know how they are going to behave and what they are actually going to do after such an emotional moment! |
