I love the dialogue. I could hear them in my head while reading. It jumped straight out at me like it was a scene right out of the show. Nice!

Ed still haunts these two, doesn't he. Interesting how visceral Daryl's reaction to hearing of Ed punching her, when he nearly did the same damn thing himself.

I love 'stray' and loved this story! I did notice the '?' after the word 'one-shot' and just figured I'd let you know that I'd love you 5eva if you continued this story. Stories and authors that capture the character and spirit of this ship are really something special, and this and you certainly fits into that category.

Yes! LOVE this. It's true we've only heard Carol mention Ed recently-not since Chupacabra? Anyway, I wonder if Merle being there will spark more memories for her. How much of this has she really had to deal with, since he was just suddenly gone. Very interesting. And I love comforting/protective Daryl. Awesome thing to wake up to in the morning. :)

There is always that point in your stories where I want to flail and cry. I love, love, love his reaction, both the movement and his thoughts about not killing Ed.
