Hold on, is this wench really just saying “~Uuu~ You think they’ll be alright~~?” To Rick, when she just commented in her inner dialogue about how she knows all the suffering that goes down in this new reality?!

And yet she’s not even going to make a token effort to try and convince that man and son to put down the staggering corpse of their wife and mother for the good of their own survival!?

I have to say, you’ve crafted an intriguing female character here. You’re not even trying to go the whole, ‘Ah! I’m a good person! Really!1! Believe me! Mn!’ You’re going straight into building up a character who would be likely to survive in an apocalypse. She cares more about her own survival then being a genuinely good person, and I applaud this character for that!

Because in the end, to this character, her wants (Rick), matters more than the so called life of these side characters. And it helps also that she knows in her own reality, Rick Grimes the cartoon and tv drama character, was a in achievable target of affection. She knows what’s going to go down, so of course she’s goin to go for a sure bet. F that ten year old boy and man who helped take her in ans helped to feed and clothe her! She didn’t owe them anything, they’re just side characters anyway, who cares lol.

Heck, your character is very ruthless. Very suited to surviving the apocalypse.

Please write more, I love this story. I totally ship Mara and Daryl! Not so sure about Rick though, but that's just me cause I love Daryl in the TV show. :)

This is the best TWD fic I've ever read! please don't let me be a orphan!

I love the book, this is my second time reading. The only thing that bothers me about it though, is Mara. I understand not wanting Mara to be a Mary Sue but she doesn’t have to be damsel either, right? Like she’s relatable as a character, which I love, but she seems about as useful as tits on a bull at times. I love how she is Rick’s light, the thing that causes him to continue having hope. And I love how she obviously cares for Daryl for no other reason than wanting to, I even love how inclusive she is with the group, but I just feel like every time we turn around Mara is in need of saving.

Despite that small thing the book is honestly great. It’s one of my favorite TWD fics to date and I’d love it even more if instead of ending as Rick/Mara or Daryl/Mara, it ends up as Rick/Mara/Daryl. I don’t see how she’d be able to choose between the two of them and let’s face it, who would want to? I’m all here for Rick and Daryl learning how to share! It’s an amazing story and I really hope you continue it!

WHY WOULD YOU WRITE SUCH A USELESS CHARACTER

For someone growing up in the military and raised in a family of soldiers, Mara is a wimp. While the story is well written, I'm beginning to dislike the character that I basically afraid of everything. She can't even fight that well that it's embarrassing to read this. I understand the concern of Mary Sue, but I felt it was well. I'm pretty disappoinred with her skills, rather the lack of them.

I really liked this story I wish you finish it someday it was really good and different from any other story I’ve read.
