What a pity that Neville wasn't around when Snape was a student-Snape learned his mindset from four hard taskmasters, with none of the staff who cared if he lived or died.

It's nice that he can relax a little bit now. But let's not blame him for having to be harsh when teaching students who had seen him naked hanging upside down

Just finished another of your longer stories and thought I would check out your other fictions. I love this one. You write Neville exactly the way I envision him, complete with confidence even in the face of the dreaded and feared Severus. Seeing that old dogs CAN learn new tricks is great as well-Severus absorbed some of Neville's innate goodness. Thanks for writing and sharing this.
