Purplestan chapter 33 . 7/25/2019 Not trying to be rude but couldn't you have just made this question and answer thing into another story? It's really random to have a chapter of a story than just a q&a in the next. |
MrRockingHippie chapter 24 . 5/18/2019 could have been fun with twins that where true to mythologi, even the marvel universe isn't completely true to lore, i mean Hel is loki daughter if i remember correctly as is fenris sooo... it would be excused but whatever still interesting story so far. |
rogueycherie chapter 1 . 1/24/2019 Essa é uma das minhas história favorita de Loki. Parabéns pela escrita |

Guest chapter 43 . 3/3/2018 Holy frickin' crap! This was a masterpiece! You captured Loki perfectly, he was so outrageously in character, I loved it. Sigyn was just as she should be, and the kids and Thor were wonderful. This was masterfully written, well thought out, and a joy to read. |
GraceEliz chapter 19 . 1/23/2018 I think I'm going to cry. |
Bloody-Aliice chapter 41 . 11/29/2017 Okay it's me again, I forgot to tell you that I made a fanart cover for your fanfic, it's on tumblr imyourliquor-youremypoison . tumblr post / 167876395777 / asgardianruminations-i-made-something-for-your xx Alice |
Bloody-Aliice chapter 40 . 11/29/2017 So, I have a ton of things to say about your fanfiction and it's going to be messy and unorganized but very long, so sit down with a cup of tea and enjoy. You have blown my mind, I don't have any other way to say it. Now I haven't read that many Loki fanfictions yet, yours is the fifth, maybe sixth one, but it's my favorite by far. Most people tend to lean towards a certain aspect of Loki's personality, the one that appeals to them most, so it's easy to find fanfictions where Loki is exceedingly nice and lacks depths. And then we have the Super Angsty fanfics that only focus on Loki's darker side, making him a real villain doing stuff that's nearly impossible to forgive someone (for the OC). The fanfiction I read before yours was insanely well written, beautiful prose, vast vocabulary, a lot of research obviously went into the writing of this story, and the plot was complex yet treated in such a way that the readers weren't lost. But the author, in a painfully obvious and desperate attempt not to lean too close to the soft, romantic side of Loki, completely sidelined the relationship between him and the OC, when the story was clearly meant to be a romance. Such wasted potential has me frustrated to no end. And the fanfiction before that had the opposite problem: like yours it starred a pre-marvel Loki, still 'young' and not yet negatively affected by all the hardships he'll go through. But he was way out of character, too naive, not witty enough, unable to match the OC in terms of mastery of words, so much so that I couldn't finish it. I get that Loki hasn't always been a dark, broody, bitter character, but some things about him are just inherent to his personality and don't have anything to do with the ordeals he'll face later in his life, like his silver-tongue, his stubbornness, his pride, his being an overachiever in attempt to surpass Thor. Some things you simply cannot look past when writing Loki, otherwise he's not Loki anymore. But you totally dodged all of those potential issues, you didn't just take whatever feature you like most about Loki and changed the rest of him, you took the whole character as he is in the MCU and worked with what you had – which is to me the true essence of fanfiction. I like that nothing about your story is forced or far-fetched or cliché, it's all very natural and it flows nicely – let me explain. As far as the plot goes, you didn't have to dig too deep to find the skeleton of the story, it was the Marvel movies and you followed them while adding Sigyn's point of view. Everything else, like the very beginning before the events of the first Thor movie, is completely mundane – and I don't mean this is a bad way at all, what I mean is that the blossoming of Loki and Sigyn's relationship isn't subjected to a series of increasingly dramatic unlikely events destined to test their feelings or whatever. It's very smooth, and cute, it's the honey phase where everything is best in the best of worlds. They slowly get to know each other – not without the occasional argument or awkward situations of course – and simply enjoy each other's company in that state of bliss that characterizes the early stage of a relationship. It could have been any other couple to be honest, and that truly shows how realistic your writing is, it accurately reflects this early stage of their romance and makes it into this simple yet beautiful story – who said that every love story had to be dramatic as hell to be good? I think that's a common flaw in fanfiction writing to be honest, people should go back to the basics and learn to write good ol' relationship blooming without diving head first into 'how to write a battle scene with seventh century's Persia weapons' masterposts. Too often people mistake simple with boring. I didn't get bored at all during the first chapters of your fanfiction, quite the contrary actually. I rarely giggled that much while reading something, it was soft and heart-warming – I like that you used this 'young Loki' to show a softer side of him, a pre-PTSD Loki who hasn't yet been let down by his father and brother, and who hasn't yet suffered t the hands of The Other. Smart choice. It also gave you the opportunity to truly show his character development, we can see him progress as a character, learn from his mistakes and that's beautiful. And this isn't specific to Loki, we can also see Sigyn's character development, we see both of them grow (as people, not in age) together, slowly leaning towards becoming better versions of themselves, yet they never push each other, they never try to change the other – even with Loki's occasional tantrums and drama queen attitude, they obviously have a very healthy, loving relationship (with some bumps in the roads here and there to spice things up of course, but still). Here's another thing I loved about your writing (I'm just jumping from one idea to the next without transition sorry haha): as comfortable as you are (or seem to be) with writing the lovey-dovey parts of Loki and Sigyn's story, you're also terribly good at writing action. I have one specific scene in mind, it was pretty intense, I only read it last night and I was PUMPED! It was the Chitauri attack on Midgard, when Loki thinks Sigyn is dead and throws himself head first into combat, uncaring of whether he'll die or not – yearning for death even, because he cannot fathom a world without his love. At first I was a little put off by how despaired he was, not even thinking about his son who's be left an orphan if he died too, but I quickly pushed this to the back of my mind – it fits Loki's character and just because it's not what I would do as a person doesn't mean that it wasn't the right choice. It was, Loki truly is that dramatic and intense. So, aside from how well you wrote this scene I would like to thank you specifically for this: thank you for not settling with the usual 'I wouldn't be able to live without you' conversation, but rather to show it. It's the first time I see this, and I have read quite a number of fanfictions in my life, several hundreds, and never ever, have I seen an author do this. It's not like it's some groundbreaking, mind-blowing idea to show something instead of having your characters just say it and expect the readers to blindly believe it. But nobody did it. It was a climactic moment, a testament of how deep Loki's love for Sigyn runs, and it was worth every character monologue in the world. You know I haven't even finished your fanfiction yet, I'm at chapter 38. But just thinking about all the things I wanted to tell you kept me awake most of the night so I thought it better to write it down before wrecking my sleeping schedule beyond repair. Another thing (yes because it's not over yet, I really hope you're sitting comfortably). Your characterization was on point, girl. Like, there wasn't a word coming out of their mouth that had me thinking 'mmh that's strange', it was all 100% in character, I could hear Loki's teasing voice and see his smug little grin whenever he made an innuendo, I could see Frigga's fond gaze when she delivered one of her priceless life advice to her stubborn son, I could imagine Thor's brotherly tone when he ignored one of Loki's sharp comments. Their relationship is so “I hate you.”/“I love you too, brother.” I don't suppose I need to tell you who says what. But the moment you most impressed me was when Tony Stark was introduced in the story. As much as you nailed every character's personality, you did better with Tony. I could hear Robert D. Junior speak with each of his lines. And of course Tony Stark would walk around with little figurines of himself in his pocket because WHY WOULDN'T HE? I loved how Sigyn stood up for herself when Tony grilled her to know who the father of the son was – you nearly had me fooled, I thought she was going to let him have the upper hand in this conversation but she recovered magnificently – had Loki been there, he would have been turned on. Also when the truth came out and all the Avengers where asking Sigyn 'you had SEX with him?' I was laughing so hard, like they sure know how to ask the most important questions first. Bless her for being so patient because I would have long told them 'no, a simple look in my direction sufficed to impregnate me' – which shouldn't even be that grotesque of an idea to anyone who's seen Loki in person, right? Hot damn. Speaking of how sexy Loki is – your sexy scenes sure amounted to his reputation (and by that I mean his reputation in the Norse mythology, he sure is depicted as a womanizer who knows what he's about). The sex is fantastic - you take your time writing the scene, you're not sparing with words, and take as much care (if not more) to write a sex scene as you do with any battle scene or dramatic argument. It's elegant, it's graceful, you never take one step too far and fall into the vulgar, it's incredibly well written and incorporated into the story. It's simple: I read it. When smut is just here for the sake of it and doesn't further the plot of bring anything to the relationship, I skip it because I don't need a chapter-long anatomical description of how to do the dirty, I know how it works thank you very much, it has to bring something to the story otherwise it might as well not be there. Yours do that, the sex is meaningful, and it has a clear effect on the characters, especially on Loki who's so entirely smitten with his wife *sigh*. Extra kudos for making Thor and Lady Sif have a thing like in the Norse mythology – even if the MCU Lady Sif is drastically different from the princess-y blonde described in the mythological writings, I think it's a good idea that you did it, it adds a bit of authenticity to your story. I can't tell if you did it on purpose, but I noticed that your Loki was significantly closer in character to the actual mythological character than the MCU character. You made him stronger, and more capable. I get that in the MCU Loki has been mostly trying to wreak havoc and do bad things – so Hollywood kicked in the door and said 'NO we can't have that, make him FAIL every attempt he makes at doing bad things'. But in the mythology, he succeeds in being a little shit and carried through he evil schemes most of the time, then of course he has to make up to the gods for whatever he did, but still, he doesn't fail. In MCU they do exactly what I criticized before: they tell us 'this character is very powerful and dangerous' and expect us the drink it up and believe it without asking any questions, but they never show us how powerful he is. Once again, thank you for setting this right. You know what's awesome about Sigyn? Apart from the fact that she's only sort of an OC, since she's actually Loki's 'canon' wife? We know so little about her that you can both have an existing character based on real mythological sources, AND you can shape this character at your will. I hate myself for quoting Hannah Montana, but it's the best of both worlds. It really is. And at this point I think you figured out that I'm a huge mythology nerd and that every little nod to Norse mythology will win my heart over. If you don't know, or haven't (yet) read The Gospel of Loki, by Joanne , you need to read it. I finished it last month and it's hilarious. Sigyn is in it but she only has a minor role, and not a very good one. She had close to no personality at all, literally all she does is bake pies, and then later on she stays by Loki's side during his punishment, you know the scene where he's tied to a rock and a serpent's venom drips on him so Sigyn holds a bowl above his head to prevent the venom from touching him. It really shows that the only thing we know about her it that she's Loki's wife, that her name is Sigyn, and that she's entirely devoted to him. Perfect base to create a character (almost) from scratch. And you did it with such talent that you put to shame most fanfiction writers. So this review (essay) is nearing its end now, I've almost run out of compliments to shower you in. I'll finish by saying that even though this review is basically a series of praises, there were still things that had me nearly throwing my phone across my room, but not in a bad way. Now you'll ask me 'Is there a good way to want to throw your phone across your room'? Well, yes? I think so. Fanfictions aren't only made to make you smile and blush all my your lonesome self while hidden under your duvet at ungodly hours, they are made you elicit emotions, any kind. So yes, I was terribly mad when Dagmar messed with Sigyn's contraception herbs. I was frustrated when Loki - in his stubbornness - refused to believe even for a second that Ari was his son, his mind jumping to conclusions all more unlikely than the previous one just because he thinks himself so utterly unworthy of Sigyn's love that to him it's more believable that she moved on immediately after his 'death', married and had a kid, than the idea that she was so entirely his that she was willing to spend her life as a single mother rather than re-marry and betray his memory. Wow, that was a long sentence. But it's not a bad thing that some scenes of your story made me mad, it's good. Some of the characters' actions went against what I, as a person, would do, or approve of, but if it fits their morals and personality then I have nothing negative to say about it. I promise this is the last paragraph (or is it?) but I have one last thing to add to this monster of a review. I am so very thankful that you wrote your characters (all of them really) as smart. Smart enough to overcome any situation so far (like I said, I'm only at chapter 38) and smart enough to avoid the cliché of what I call 'Gossip Girl drama'. I love Gossip Girl, I really do, but all the drama happening in this TV show is based on miscommunication, misinterpretation, or downright idiocy. Which is just about the most infuriating thing in the world, I can't watch this show too often or I'll go bald. Thank you for not waiting ages before letting Sigyn notice Loki was back from the dead (chap. 25), you could have so easily created extra angst by having them both in the same place yet both being unaware of the other's presence in their vicinity. Thank you for not stretching out the scene where Sigyn panicked and told her mother the man she was seeing was 'no one important', it could have taken humongous proportions if you didn't have Frigga knock some sense into her son. I know that it's a bit anti-climactic but this is the end, haha. I hope you haven' fallen asleep, this is four pages long, it took me three hours to write. Congratulations, you're one of the happy few to get my infamous long-ass reviews – I would be genuinely upset if you tell me this isn't the longest you've ever gotten. Thank you for being an awesome writer and sharing your work with the world! Alice |
Guest chapter 32 . 11/17/2017 To me, it always seems that Loki is the one who causes the trouble, and is also the one who gets all of them out of it. He causes the mess, and fixes it. But I love how he loves Loki so much, and I think it was sort of funny when he refused to cut his hair. He has awesome hair. |
Guest chapter 43 . 5/19/2017 I absolutely loved it.. Beyond adorable! Great job, and please keep it up! |
Guest chapter 1 . 4/22/2017 Sigyn:Goddess of Springtime Sigyn is a child: a lonely, naive, innocent child, with freshness and warmth as the Springtime sun and everlasting youth as the May Dew Drop. Breathtakingly beautiful, with golden blonde locks as warm as sunshine, little makeup, dark brown eyes and youthful smile. She is always in light, chiffon robes of white and light colors Sigyn is a medical woman. Not only she embdoies the good virtues in an Asgardian, but also every human emotion in one:happiness, sadness, anger...all of it. According to Loki, she was as fiery as the fire in Mulspeheim, as tough as Iron Mans armour and as sweet as May Dew Morning. Her power centres around controlling and communcating with Mother Nature,a very powerful set of powers, that is. Sigyn is described as a youthful, vivacious and carefree child who can come off as docile and ladylike, but she was mischeivous, like Loki. I mean, no matter how you look at her actions in Thor 3, in the end she was the innocent victim fooled and manipulated by people whom she once called friends. It was her inner strength that allowed her to forgive Thor and Sif during the events of the Infinity War. Sigyn is one of the most beloved MCU princesses, next to Crystalia Amaquelin. |
Guest chapter 1 . 4/20/2017 Sigyn is a pure, innocent angel, carefree and romantic. However, in Thor 3, she is tragically corrupted and broken by the events that reduced her to a limp, sagging, melancholy toy with the last few drops of humanity in her. So sad... |
Guest chapter 1 . 3/1/2017 Why Loki and Sigyn is the greatest love story of all time 1. Kenneth Branagh says it is meant to go agains the trope of hero and ingénue 'The funny part is,' Branagh laughs,' the moment of Loki's debut, ALL fans had sent me countless mail to demand for Sigyn. No one likes Theoric now. So we talked about it and made Theoric a total jerk and Sigyn to be onen of the biggest, most badass heroines ever known. I was like ' I wanted to make the most badass, most ingenuic and most mysterious character graced in the Shakespearan worlds,' And a second later, Sigyn is born. Sigyn is known to be the imacculate beauty, the golden girl, the white flower of Vanaheim. In reality, she is super clever, mischevious and her 'innocent' exterior fools even THOR! 2. She saved LOKI from the darkness Is there any more heroine more courageous and kind than Sign. She is the one who tamed Loki, the love so strong between them that it actually broke the evil within him, one that gave Loki the URGE to live the life he once valued so little. And even though he had never been a romantic that kind of sort-the fanfics somehow predict him as a rapist or whatever-this is NOT Loki. Loki is actually is very respectful and courteous to the ladies, if not being a little shy. And also, he is a total horndog 3. It also brought justice to Loki fans Sigyn is also the manna to Loki's fans. She showed that not all who are wrong are evil. Sigyn saw past the ideals of people and saw good and bad. She has the highest spiritual intelligence and kindness in MCU. Her mentor Crystalia Amaquelin is so proud of her 4. The ultimate version of bringing out the best to each other True love always bring out the best to each other. Loki realizes that he is a fool enough to let jealousy take over his life. Sigyn learns that while kindness may be the best solution, sometimes maybe a brain power like her fiancé may also be good too 5. A different kind of princess Sigyn is not a prima donna like Medusalith, nor a fashion princess like Crtystalia. She;s just...a normal girl. Just like any of us. While she is not like a leader type, she is actually the pole of the backbone to every single team from her Asgardian friends to the Avengers who value her greatly because of her wisdom and intelligence. She is NOT a dormat at all. She is one of the greatest healers and wise women in the Nine Realsm, and while she may be beautiful, she is not the 'wow the crowd beautiful' like Sif. Her beauty comes from her good heart, and she is actually the biggest shoutout character against Trump for the little people around the world. Crystalia is the one for all the politicians and important figures in the world and everyone of us. 6. Not what she seems Many fanfics predict her as a passive woman, a womanchild or any like that. The real her is classy, loyal and courageous. She makes mistakes, she falls for the right category, she is learning and growing, she had family issues. But all in all, she is not a bad person. Branagh said she is created to be the one up version of Frigga except much sweeter. She is actually based on the chld version of Frigga when she was only a little girl. No wonder Loki fall so hard for her at first sight. Only the Tragic Tale of Loki and Sigyn and the good fanfics depict her the right way. Her actions are justified through her ambitions and dreams and her naivety. But all in all,. Sigyn is a good woman at heart and even though she fell for the villain, she has never turned evil. Not once 7. A new side of Loki Villian. Great. But in Thor 3, we discover a new side of him: yearning to be loved, lonely and confused, a man child on the inside, one who is not so great dealing with women, and-much to his old friend's amusement-he is still tongue tied when meeting Sigyn!. Although, yes he is seductive and a total horndog, Loki would NEVER go around and seduce some Midgardian girl to indulge his fantasies. He, Pietro and Vision really did pull off the horndog act with greatest dignity. 8. What Loki really is Branagah:" I wanted to create this enigmatic broken villain. He is the combination of all the Shakespearan villians in the novels. I read through their stories and found out they all had broken backstories. And also, I read the hitler one in the comics and think ' Yawn.' So yeah, we made this role perfectly tailored for Tom Hiddleston.' Tom:'One of my most demanding roles. I go from a strappy military man to this broken, enigmatic villain. In Thor 3 you see a brand new side of him no one has ever done before. So yeah, we made him like that.' 9. They literally crashed all odds to be together Branagh created this romance to be the 'very basis of Romeo and Juliet' Like romeo, Loki goes from anti loving to be an insane lover. Like Juliet, Sigyn goes from a naïve woman to a grown, mature lady who later took on the throne her dead mother and sister abandoned during their deaths. ' It is such a compelling romance,' RDJ recalled,' When I red it, my mind was like 'HUUUH!1' But then I read it and I go,' Amazing, Mr Branagh,' Branagh and Burton talked it over and Burton created the 'most enigmatic, most mysterious and most mercurial character ever known', one who can understand their situation and her magic is to bring back the long lost happiness in the Avengers world. And Crystalia Amaquelin is born. 9. A test of morality Loki and Sigyn represent the good and bad side of our minds, and it is super important in the Ifinity War,.' We want them to the angel and devil in their little minds,' says Feige,; And Crystalia is the one who understand the core nature of them all. You can see why Sigyn is all over the Child Queen.' 10. And above all, no other romance is as great as theirs |
trxmxrs chapter 43 . 7/4/2016 Oh my Norns! I found this story recently through a friend and I approached it with caution hoping by the end I wouldn't have been let down. But imagine my surprise when I realize that this story is one of the best I've ever read! There's angst, romance, and so much more that's benefits the story in different ways! Your wording makes it seem all to real! I'm sorry for not reviewing earlier but I was busy finishing this story in under 2 days! I've only ever reread one fanfic before (Sorrow's Pain) but now I am 110% sure this one will make it 2! There were moments where I held my breath, giggled with glee, jumped in joy and cried. And cried. And cried. But it was worth it! I am recommending this story to all of my friends. Thank you for sharing this amazing talent! 3 |
