theorizingthought chapter 1 . 2/22/2013 I don't even know how people write such perfect and beautiful stories. This is defiantly one of the best written works on the site in under 2,000 words. Both Rook and Sherlock were perfectly in character, the deductions are flawless, the internal monologue of Sherlock perfect, and the Rook's speech is tremendous. I don't think it could have been done any better. Do you think you will ever write a sequel? |
Lilith Encodead chapter 1 . 2/22/2013 Oh my. I believe this may be my favorite of all your stories to date. I usually don't like crossovers (I have a particular distaste for them, actually) but this is just seamlessly excellent. It's fluid without the usual clumsiness of forced connections of plot and chemistry between over-similar characters that x/overs seem to usually have in abundance. Sherlock's narrative voice is brilliant, completely in character. And the conversation between him and Rook is so natural and vivid it feels very close to the canon(s) to me, even though the plot is so far away from that. I love it. I love it. I love it. |
anyother chapter 1 . 2/21/2013 Sherlock meets Mr Rook if I'm not mistaken...I find I like the idea of Sherlock brushing the supernatural world more and more. Those two are a match. As for mentioning the pen - brilliant. Let's hope it won't collide with poor Watson :) |
Saemay chapter 1 . 2/21/2013 Ooo! (Can I say that in a review?) What a delightful meeting. Rook was absolutely perfect - his speech ending in "the greater good" was beautifully written. I very much enjoyed the Sherlock-isms into his observation of character. Bravo, and thank you! |
fleemneek chapter 1 . 2/21/2013 Love it, 0! Of course Holmes and Rook would have a meeting of the minds. |
nerdyalice chapter 1 . 2/21/2013 Oh this was so good! Loved Sherlock's deductions and Rook's speech, they fit the characters perfectly. :) |
