exploring the charon relay the unsc want to go through yet the civilians stop it with a voice of caution... since when are civilians that forward thinking and the military reckless.
the protheans are centuries ahead of humanity but got beaten by the reapers, so why would it help to build up a fleet of inferior ships? they should focus that money on advancing science.

This chapter shows exactly whats wrong with every timeline in fanfiction crossovers. The progression of new tech development and ship building happens way to fast. In a mere 2 years they wouldn't have been able design and construct entire new fleets. Even the UNSC in halo took decades to build there capital ships and thats with the industry of hundreds of planets. New technologies take even longer to invent and test. The infinity, around the end of halo 3 Halsey remarked that they had been working on it for 15 years and it was still unfinished.

The Great War was a defining moment in the UNSC and the UEG history. By removing the Covenant all together, you removed the soul of what made Halo, the struggle of humanity as a species. So what do we have left then? Nothing, only the technology and the name UNSC. Respectfully, it is your story I enjoyed your style of writing but I disagree with striping the UNSC bare and slap it into the ME universe, one could write this story as an alternative System Alliance and it would be more logical.

A shame, it had such potential.
