It's good -VERY good, brilliant even- but you will find no satisfaction here. So don't stay up until 3 am on a weeknight reading to the end of the epilogue, slightly giddy with the anticipation of the massive emotional payoff that every sentence, word and comma has been leading to BECAUSE IT'S NOT THERE! These last chapters I have read while holding my breath. I do not think I will be able to write anything coherent before I have gone over this story in my head the next coming days. It has so many things that I need to process. But I will say right away that I have loved it to bits, that my heart is bleeding for all of them as and that you are a fabulous writer. I do not know whether you have anything published out there, but I hope you do, you write so very well.
Thank you for this story and for the others. They have stayed with me ever since I read them and I know for a fact that this one will too.
I do not know whether to start the sequel because I know it is unfinished and I need for your Kenshin and Kaoru to be together, so badly that I am not sure that I will be able to bear the suspense or fill in the rest in my head the way it deserves ro be, the way you have planned it.
Oh, who am I kidding? Of course I am going to read it!

I was very anxious about Kaoru in this chapter. Not as much as Kenshin must have been, but anxious nonetheless.
Another brilliant chapter. So realistic, so touching and heartwrenching.
I am really missing Kenshin glaring at Kanryu and cutting his stupid lamposts in two.

I am glad that Hiko is into this.

And, dear author, this story leaves me breathless every other paragraph. Thank you.

Oh, my god, I just got the feeling... Did Kenshin let Kanryu do this to him for Tomoe? To spare her? Because he could have willed himself to death, as Hiko says, and this possibility was mentioned in one of the first chapters too.
